gift certificate/voucher 상품권, 선물 교환권
우리말로는 '상품권'이라는 단어로 통용되지만, 영어로는 무엇과 바꿀 수 있는지에 따라 gift certificate 혹은 gift voucher 중 적절한 단어를 선택하는 것이 좋다. 상품을 직접 골라 현금처럼 사용하는 것은 gift certificate라고 하는 반면, 특정 상품으로 교환할 수 있는 교환권은 gift voucher라고 한다.
예) Gift certificates are my favorite kind of gift. (상품권은 내가 가장 좋아하는 선물이다.) I used a gift voucher to get my coffee this morning. (오늘 아침에는 커피를 상품 교환권으 로 구입했다.)
