Introduction

Clubiona sapporensis Hayashi, 1986 and Nesticus acritu- berculum sp. nov. belonging to Clubionidae and Nesticidae, repectively. Each species was captured by sweeping around coastal area in Gyeongsangbuk-do and Mt. Gariwang in Gangwon-do during the intensive survey of arthropod fau- na of natural ecosystem in Korea. Though C. sapporesis was reported from North Korea by Mikhailov (1992: 16, 1997:

189), there is no reliable description from Korea to date.

For this reason, Namkung et al. (2009) excluded this spe- cies from the Bibliographic check list of Korean spiders.

Nesticus acrituberculum sp. nov. is relatively large nesticid members and seems to be rare in Korea, because only one specimen was collected through intensive survey for a long time. Present work describes these two species with illus- trations of taxonomic characters.

Materials and Methods

The external morphology of C. sapporesis and Nesticus ac- rituberculum sp, nov. were examined and taxonomic charac- ters of each species were illustrated using a stereoscopic dis- secting microscope (Nikon 745T). Measurements were made with an ocular micrometer and are recorded in millimeters. Leg measurements are given as “leg number, total length (femur, patella, tibia, metatarsus, and tarsus).”

Pedipalp measurements are listed as “total length (femur, patella+tibia, tarsus).” The following abbreviations are used in the description: AME, anterior median eye; ALE, anterior lateral eye; PME, posterior median eye; PLE, posterior lateral eye; AER, anterior eye row; PER, posteri- or eye row; MOQ, median ocular quadrangle; d, dorsal surface, p prolateral surface, r retrolateral surface and v ventral surface in leg spiniformation. The specimens stud- ied are lodged in the National Institute of Biological Resources (NIBR) of the Ministry of Environment, Korea.
