Logo Contest

The Republic of Korea and the State of Israel celebrate 60 years of Diplomatic Relations in the year 2022. To mark this occasion, our respective embassies will host a Logo Design Competition to create a graphic emblem which capture the dynamic spirit of the deepening engagement between our peoples and countries.

Korea and Israel are vibrant democracies, and creative, passionate societies sharing a sense of destiny. Our nations are rooted in antiquity, but achieved their independence in 1945 and 1948 respectively in a century of trauma and great hardship. Each country created a dynamic

economic miracle, despite significant security challenges, and with no natural resource other than determination and belief in self.

This year Korea and Israel signed a Free Trade Agreement, Korea’s first in the Middle East and Israel’s first in Asia reflecting the genuine synergy converging our economic and value interests. .

The 60^th anniversary graphic emblem should capture this essence and reflect the robust engagement developing between the governments, peoples, economies, and cultures of Korea and Israel.

Guidelines

 Proposals must be submitted by midnight of Israel time, August 13, 2021. Late submissions will not be considered.

 Winners and runners-up will be notified by August 31, 2021.

Qualification

 Korean or Israeli National living in either country.

Logo Design Scoring Criteria

 Creativity, artistic quality, and beauty of the design.

 Expression of the thematic contests of the competition.

 Practicality of logo design usage.

Submission Procedure

 Entries should be submitted as JPEG format not larger than 3MB.

 Applications should be submitted as a single file containing logo design, concept note, and applicant contact information.

 Each applicant can submit up to 3 designs.

 Contact information should include name, cellphone, email and country of residence.

 Application should be submitted via e-mail to koreaisrael60yr@mofa.go.kr. Email title should include name of applicant and country of residence.

Prize

 The first place design will receive a round-trip flight ticket between Korea and Israel.

 Second and third runner up prize will receive Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S6 Lite.

 The winning design will be used as the official logo of the Embassy of Korea and Israel for the 60^th year events throughout 2022.

 Winning design will be announced in press release and official ceremony.

Important notice

 The Logo must be an original design, with no copyright infringement.

 Legal claims arising from the violation of copyright or other intellectual property rights related to the submitted design are sole responsibility of applicant

 The award may be canceled if there is a serious disqualification such as plagiarism on the winning design

 The Embassy of the Republic of Korea and the Embassy of Israel shall hold all the rights to the winning logo design, including copyright, intellectual property and editing rights.

 The winning logo design may undergo necessary modification by design expert.

 In the event same design is entered twice, first application received will qualify.

 Final winner will need to submit original file.
