Local Structural Analysis of Fe 60 Sb 40 Mechanical Alloys

40alloys were produced by using a mechanical alloying system, and the magnetizations of the alloys were measured by using a vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). The structures of the alloys were analyzed by using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) analyses. The magnetization decreased gradually as the milling time in the process was increased, and the alloying process was almost complete in 24 hours. The structural analysis showed that the variation in the magnetization was closely related to the variation in the local structure of the alloys.
