요즘은 인터넷상에 여행에 관련된 수많은 정보들이 있어서, 마음만 먹으면 여행에 필요한 것을 누구든 지 얻을 수 있다. 각종 여행 블로그를 보면, 여행지 별로 꼭 가 봐야 하는 장소들을 매우 상세하게 묘사 해 놓았다. 현장 사진이나 영상과 더불어 실제 경험 을 자세히 제공해 놓아서 매우 유용하다. 숙박, 교 통, 맛집 정보 등 필요한 거의 모든 정보가 있다. 특 히 식당이나 카페에 관련된 정보는 반드시 챙기게 된다. 맛있는 현지 음식을 맛보는 것이 모든 여행의 묘미이기 때문이다. 물건과 서비스의 가격도 인터 넷으로 공유해 놓은 경우가 많아서, 여행 경비 예산 을 짜는 데도 도움이 된다. 나도 여행을 갔다 올 때 마다 여행 경험을 내 블로그에 공유하는 습관이 생 겼다.

first-hand account
직접 경험한 이야기어떤 경험을 직접 겪은 사람으로부터 몇 다리나 떨어졌는지에 따라 first/second/third-hand account라는 표현을 쓴다. 즉, 직접 겪은 것은 first-hand, 경험자로부터 들은 것은 second- hand, 그리고 누군가가 들은 이야기를 또 한 번 전해서 들었다면 third-hand account라고 한 다.
I learned about the incident by hearing first-hand accounts.
(나는 직접 겪은 사람들의 이야기를 들어서 그 사건에 대해 알게 되었다.)
I don't trust third-hand accounts very much.
(나는 전해 들은 이야기는 그다지 믿지 않는 편이다.)
