Duterte set for 2-nation swing

President Duterte will embark on a two-nation swing in Asia this month to seek inputs on the coming Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit which the country will be hosting.

The President is expected to visit Myanmar on March 19 and 20, followed by Thailand on March 21 and 22 based on his tentative schedule.

Duterte, in his remarks during the PDP-Laban assembly Sunday night, said he plans to ask his counterparts from Myanmar and Thailand about the things they want to raise during the summit. The Philippines has assumed the rotating chairmanship of the ASEAN this year.
