IMPLEMENTATION OF PROTOTYPE FOR RAINFALL DRAINAGE USING HIGH RESOLUTION SATELITE IMAGERY

AND SEDRIS

The objective of this study is to simulate the inundation process of flooded watershed from heavy rain by applying result of DEM analysis into SEDRIS modules with calculation value for valid rainfall. For the prediction, we used high resolution satellite imagery which was simulated to KOMPSAT 3 images from IKONOS images and SEDRIS methodology. We made the prototype which could predict the meaningful water height from the assuming precipitation. When we used the prototype, we used SCS-CN coefficient for calculating drainage of precipitation and we simulated flow direction by analyzing difference with height of each cell of DEM. The high resolution imagery was processed into land use and land cover classification for SCS-CN curves. Total inundated areas can be simulated from the SEDRIS Models. We expressed the result of the water basin in three dimensions. So the users can predict the potential damages from a certain amount of rainfall.
