DJI Inspire 1 - Flight Mode

P-mode (Positioning): It works best when GPS signal is strong.

There are three different states of P-mode, which will be

automatically selected by the Inspire 1 depending on GPS signal strength and Vision Positioning sensors:

GPS Vision Positioning

P-GPS O O

P-OPTI X O

(35)

DJI Inspire 1 - Flight Mode

A-mode (Attitude): GPS and Vision Positioning System are not

used for stabilization. The aircraft uses only its barometer to

stabilize. The aircraft can automatically return to the Home Point if remote controller signal is lost and the Home Point was recorded successfully.

F-mode (Function): Intelligent Orientation Control (IOC) (such as

course lock, home lock, point of interest, follow me, waypoint, etc) is activated in this mode.

1360s

The 1360S Quick Release Propellers improve the performance

of the Inspire 1 series at high-altitude locations.

A larger propeller pitch increases the aircraft's propulsion

Two Types of GPS

Consumer grade GPS

About 1~5m global shift error

Professional RTK (real-time) GPS No shift

Accuracy: 2~4cm

(49)

Vision Positioning System

It uses ultrasonic and image data to help the aircraft identify

its current position.

With the help of it, your DJI drone can hover in place more

precisely and fly indoors or in other environments where there is no GPS signal available.

(53)

Gimbal

The gimbal is the component that keeps the camera steady

while the aircraft moves, compensating for movements from vibrations and sudden shocks.

The gimbal is also responsible for controlling the direction

the camera is pointing in.

(54)

Vibration Absorbing Board

The anti-vibration gimbal mounting plate connects the gimbal

with the aircraft body and reduces vibrations to make sure that your camera is always stable and level.

CL (Course Lock)

Course Lock allows you to lock the orientation of the aircraft,

while moving the aircraft relative to an external linear coordinate system.

(61)

HL (Home Lock)

Home Lock moves the aircraft relative to an external circular

coordinate system, with the origin called the Home Point. This means that pushing forward on the remote will move the

aircraft directly away from the Home Point, pushing back will move the aircraft directly towards it, and pushing left or right will move the aircraft in a circular path around it.

(62)

POI (Point Of Interest)

(63)

FM (Follow Me)

(64)

Waypoints

Waypoint: Physical locations that the aircraft will fly to

Action can be added to waypoints, which will be carried out

when the aircraft reaches the each waypoint.
