the CSR initiative of the company is implemented through the Agape Welfare Trust. The beneficiaries are the children, women in need and distress, the handicapped persons, neglected street children, social security for the aged and destitute through the network of residential care homes and non-institutional services. Besides this the Department also provides avenues of self employment to children, women and handicapped and creates awareness amongst general public regarding the welfare measures of the Department.

Dr. Hyung shared that the Agape Welfare trust was established in January 2007 in Chennai with the objectives of - Children welfare in all aspects of their growth in life and upliftment of slum dwellers to guide them to live healthy, social and productive life. The trust implements projects at Perungudi, Pallikaranai & Selaiyur in Chennai.

strategy. Firstly, need to consider the needs of our future generations. Secondly, recognise the limitations of the planet and the carrying capacity of our environment.

Thirdly, recognise the importance of development and the over-riding needs of the worlds' poor.

Dr. M M Juneja, Director, Registrar of Companies shared that Indian companies are powerfully stirring towards the corporate Governance model with the companies act 2013 which in itself is undergoing rapid changes with faith and suggestions from pan India companies. This is right now at the developing stage in India and will take time to come in shape. He accentuated that corporates must understand their moral obligation to the society, "they should earn their million, but also remember that the money is not theirs". CSR should be seen as an avenue for innovation in Governance.

Srikrishna Narayan, Senior Vice President, Shinhan Bank presented that the Shinhan Bank aspires to become a bank that supports the success and development of the nation and local communities under the philosophy of foundation i.e. a bank for the country. A bank he adds that would help each other to become bank that is trusted and loved by their customers and society. The final aim and purpose of the bank is to make the world better place with "strength of finance".

He also shared that under their Social Responsibility Management & Contribution to Local Community Program their bank staff members visited each month to spend time under the HET Program (Help, Educate & Train) to encourage young children to learn vernacular activities. HET Program started in Delhi: December 2006, Vellore: December 2010. The bank also sponsored and provides scholarships to an average of 30 bright, intelligent children annually in Mumbai and Delhi.

Srikrishna Narayan concluded that the Shinhan Bank has 3 branch networks in India in Delhi, Mumbai and Vellore. And the bank is in the process of expanding its network in India along with active contribution to the society.

Mr. Vijay Chadda, CEO, Bharti Foundation in his presentation shared that the company is committed to its stakeholders - government, shareholders, customers, communities, employees and their families - to conduct its business in a responsible and structured manner that creates a sustained positive impact.

Mr. Chadda shared the foundation's flagship program Satya Bharti School Program, with an to help underprivileged children and young people of our country realize their potential. The program launched in 2000 reaches out to children through 186 Primary Schools, 63 Elementary Schools 5 Sr. Secondary Schools in 6 states Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal. He also discussed the models for bridging the education divide through the program which are Greenfield Schools i.e.

schools constructed by the foundation on land allotted/ leased by government or donors, adoption of government schools and operating, Public-Private Partnership with the Government and need based interventions in government schools. Mr.

Chadda also shared the strategy for providing quality education, impact and partnerships under the program.

Ms. Ruchika Batra, Director, Samsung India shared about their criteria for choosing the CSR projects and the reasons to implement them in India. Their thrust areas of CSR projects are Health & Education.

Under the CSRs Initiative they have launched the Samsung Smart School Project which includes the set up of classrooms in 100 government schools in 2013 to improve the quality of education, to bridge the digital divide in India and to create the leaders for tomorrow.

It helps to educate talented rural children of class VI to XII and 78% seats will be reserved for rural poor/SC/ST. Since mid-2013, Samsung has set up over 140 Smart Schools in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas across the country, benefitting over 60,000 students and teachers through digitally-equipped classrooms that enable interactive learning.

Samsung India has also set up 3 Samsung Tech Institutes in 2013 and 27 in 2014 and at 30 ITIs in the country to enhance the skills of ITI students and develop their employment potential.

Ms. Ruchika Batra also shared about village adoption program and shared. She shared that Samsung has adopted 'Nanum Village' which is a part of their Samsung Nanum Village Project in 2013. Since then, the company has been working with the community to bring in several improvements in the infrastructure, health and education facilities in the village.

his year's forum, with the theme "CSR: New Partnership for Sustainable &

Inclusive Development", introduced trends of CSR policies, explore hot topics on social responsibility, analyze CSR issues faced by Chinese enterprises, interpret CSR index system, and share practices on CSR management. This forum is of great significance and guidance to the promotion of CSR by governmental and the fulfillment of social responsibility by enterprises.

With the enactment of the Companies Act 2013, too much has been said about 2% but it is equally very important to understand 'what is beyond 2%. It is imperative and vital to consider the wider developmental implications of CSR initiatives rather than money.

Here, organizations have the perfect opportunity to align with the dynamic demands of the business and social environment through effective participatory and cross sector collaboration leading to effective firm-society interaction through CSR. Collaborations and associations do make an effective business case with respect to achieving maximum impact for a given CSR capital investment. Hence, the focus of this year's discussion was on strategy, effective implementation, collaboration with various stakeholders for realising inclusive social development.

On October 30, 2014, leading personalities with powerful collective expertise in inclusive development and business came together to debate on how to adopt social issue, conceive, implement together with stakeholders through CSR and achieve the national mandate of social inclusive development from 10:30 am onwards at FICCI Federation House, Tansen Marg, New Delhi.

Inaugural Session:

Dr Alwyn Didar Singh Secretary General, FICCI said that the India and Korea partnership has flourished due to close relationship in business operations over the years. FICCI is proud that this collaboration on Korea-India CSR dialogue on CSR policy continues till date.

Dr. Singh shared that while a lot has been written on the old form of Capitalism but from 1930 it has evolved to 'Progressive Capitalism'. This term states that we need to structure Philanthropy along with Capitalism in the business model. He emphasized at that at present there is a need to enter what is called 'Creative Capitalism' as shared by Bill Gates in 2008. It means that Industry needs to be part of development space. Dr.
