Politics:
Minister of Defense promises to have an army able to protect the country within 6 months.
Amazigh Supreme Council, Heads of Amazigh speaking cities, and civil organizations meet in Kabaw to discuss mechanism of demonstration meant to take place in front of GNC HQ at Rixos Hotel this Tuesday 13 August. Tuesday will be off in all Amazigh speaking to allow participation in the demonstration.

Based on the commissioning of GNC to his chairman Mr. Busahmeen regarding some competencies, GNC chairman decided to commission a security force to temporarily secure the coastal freeway between Bridge 17 (Janzour) and outskirts of Zawya and surrounding areas.

Forces already deployed in Tripoli and its suburbs are those subordinate to the Army and are from Military Zones of:
1- Military Zone of Tripoli.
2- Military Zone of Central Area.
3- Military Zone of Nafousa.
4- Military Zone of Western Area.
These forces are following a plan to secure Tripoli during days of Eid and afterwards.
This commission came from GNC chairman, instructions from Minister of Defense, and order from Chief of Staff with coordination with Ministry of Interior. It is supervised by Army’s Chief of Operations and the Commander of Tripoli Military Zone. It is a contingency plan aimed to secure Tripoli during Eid holidays until competent authorities are satisfied with the security stability.
