1. Description
Project Title Checking calibration and reinforcement of building electrical main supply and main panel (MSSB)
Project Site Office & Residence building at the Korean Embassy premises.

Scope of Work
Calibration low voltage MSSB and servicing MSSB breaker and equipment in LV room.
Checking underground cable from MSSB to main DB.
Checking existing lighting protection.
To reinforce above equipments if necessary.
Repairing Defects
Pay deposit for repairing defects (3% of contract amount) or submit guarantee insurance policy for repairing defects
Defect inspection will be conducted twice a year within the defects liability period (3 years) and repairs should be done in case defects are found within this period.
Estimated Price
Estimated cost around : RM 120,000.00 – RM 300,000.00

Delay Damages
In case the execution of contract is delayed without proper explanation, [contract amount*number of delayed days*0.5/1000] should be paid

Bid Announcement Announced individually via e-mail or phone call after 09th December 2020.
2. Qualification
i. Business with valid business license under Malaysian law as of bid opening date.
ii. Business which is not classified as inappropriate business entity under Malaysian law.
iii. Business which is engaged in liquidation, M&A, disposal and legal composition/court receivership is not allowed to bid.
iv. Business which is able to carry out the duties set out in the attachment (Scope of works), and business with experiences of providing professional landscape maintenance services will be preferred.
3. On-site Orientation
i. On-site orientation is possible upon discussion
4. Bid Procedure
i. E-mail the registration form and required documents to [email protected] or post by registered mail.
ii. Integrity Pact has to be signed.
iii. Fair contract pact has to be signed.
5. Required Documents
i. Registration Form (Attached [Form 1]).
ii. Company Introduction and Brief Portfolio (Performances for the last 3 years including the amount; Free-format).
iii. Business license or certification issued in Malaysia.
iv. Proposal and contract (draft).
v. Bid Deposit (5% of the estimated price) or Letter of Undertaking to Pay Bid Deposit.
6. Bid Decisions
i. Successful bidder must sign the contract within 10 days from the day of result announcement.
ii. If the first priority bidder turns out to be unqualified for the project or unable to fulfill the contract due to unforeseen circumstances, the next bidder in priority will be evaluated to sign the contract.
7. Bid Bond and Reversion of Amount of Bid Bond to National Treasury
i. Bid bond is exempted for a bidder who falls under the Article 37 (3) of
‘Enforcement Decree of the Act on Contracts to which the State is a Party.’
Considering the difficulty of obtaining Letter of Guarantee and Guarantee Insurance from the financial institution and insurance company in Malaysia, bid bond will be exempted as per the Article 37 (3) of ‘Enforcement Decree of the Act on Contracts to which the State is a Party.’
ii. However, bidders exempted from the bid bond must submit the Memorandum of Bidding Payment in order to ensure the payment of an amount corresponding to the amount of the bid bond as per the Article 37 (4) if the Act. In the events for the reversion to the National Treasury arise under the provisions of Article 9 (3) of the Act, the bidder must immediately pay the bid bond (5/100 of the tendered amount) in cash or bid deposit will be confiscated to the Embassy.
8. Others (Examples)
i. Bidders must be fully aware of all the particulars related to the project before they participate in the bid. If you have any inquiries, please contact the person in charge first before submitting your bid. It is the bidder’s responsibility for not understanding the project properly before joining the bid.
ii. Successful bidder must sign the contract within 10 days from the date of result announcement. The bidder must sign the Security Oath and Integrity Pact.

The Contractor is not allowed to hire the third party subcontractor, if necessary, the contractor shall inform and permission on this matter from the Embassy.
