Guidelines for
2019 Global Korea Scholarship Alumni Invitation Program
-2019 ROK-ASEAN Commemorative Summit Event-
○ Program Period: November 24 ~ November 30, 2019 (7 days and 6 nights)
○ Number of Participants: 70 GKS alumni from ASEAN Countries
○ How to Apply: Submit the following documents to Korean Embassy
1) Application Form 2) Pledge 3) Passport Copy (photo page)
○ Program Details (Subject to change): Korea-ASEAN Commemorative Summit events, ASEAN GKS Alumni Talk Concert, workshops, industry visits, cultural activities and etc.
○ Benefits:
- An economy class round-trip air ticket (The details will be announced by email)
- Expenses related to the program, including accommodation, meals and daily activity fees
Attention! Participants must bear the following costs by themselves: the transportation expenses incurred in the invitee’s country, visa application fees, and all other personal expenses not related to the invitation program.
○ Required Materials of All Participants
1. Presentation on Post-GKS Career Development
- All participants will make a presentation on their activities after GKS. Please submit the presentation materials as guided below.
- Format: Word document (.doc), Hangul (.hwp), or PowerPoint (.ppt)
Length: Word or Hangul format-up to 2 pages (A4 sized), PowerPoint: 20pgs (max.) - Possible Topics
Career life and activities after completing a degree under GKS
The impacts of GKS on the professional and personal life
Involvement in the GKS Alumni Association in home country
○ Required Materials of Speakers for Alumni Talk Concert (26th of Nov.) 1. A Short video clip of Self-introduction

Length: 30 seconds (Max.)
2. ASEAN GKS Alumni Talk Concert Script for Speaker

The details for air ticket, accommodation, required materials and etc. will be announced by e-mail after selection for participants.
