Ⅰ Appointment and activities of honorary ambassadors

○ Appointment period : ‘19. 9. 6. ~ ‘21. 9. 5. ※ 2 years mandate

○ Appointment target : maximum 20 people

○ Qualification for application: foreign students registered in universities located in Gangwon province.

○ Application method: submit the application form to the office of international affairs of your university

○ Selection method: based on university recommendation (internal screening) ⇒ final selection by the province government

- University recommendation for representatives of foreign students association and for regular foreign students

* University recommendation : internal university screening related to self-introduction and interview

- Proportional selection based on home university, home university's location and student's nationality

- Nationals from underrepresented countries (Europe, United States...

etc.) will have priority.

○ Main activities: participation in the main international events in Gangwon province and support for interpretation when necessary.

○ Appointment ceremony: ‘19. 9. 6.(Fri) 4PM at the Korean

2019 Gangwon's foreign students' cultural exchange Festival

◈ Date : ‘19. 9. 6. ~ 9. 7 (1 night 2 days)

◈ Place : Gangwon province

◈ Host : Korean Women's Center

◈ Participants : 100 foreign students living in the province

◈ Content : introduction of Gangwon province, cultural exchange activities, appointment ceremony of Gangwon province honorary ambassadors... etc.

○ Volunteering for international activities in various counties/cities and support for interpretation activities.

- information concerning interpretation activities of honorary ambassadors

○ Participation to Gangwon province's important events and on-site support activities

- Participation and information concerning GTI International Trade Fair, culture exchange festival... etc.

○ Promotion of Gangwon province oversea

- Promotion of the daily life in Gangwon province, main touristic attractions... etc. through the SNS.
