The equations of motions derived from the energy-work theorem, which are equal to the Lagrange equations of motions, are shown to transform covariantly under general time-dependent point trans- formations. We apply this concept to the Lorentz force and show that even the magnetic force does not contribute to the energy change of charged particles. Thus, the equation derived from the energy-work theorem correctly produces the Lorentz force.
