Force

The press module is designed for press-fit operation which is driven with force-displacement monitoring and control sys- tems. The narrow and short design of the NCFH press modules Type 2151A... allows a very compact alignment and short dis- tances between each process station as well as short process times.

Description

The NCFH press modules Type 2151A... are installed in a ro- bust aluminium housing Inside the housing the displacement sensor is integrated as absolute encoder and the force sensor in strain gage technology.

The drive motor is an electrically commutated AC servo hollow shaft motor which is supplied and controlled on a servo con- troller. Constant speed, i.e. a constant drive speed is ensured.

The operation range of the ball bearing screw is controlled by the servo electronics. Signal evaluation of sensors done out by our evaluation system Type 4734A... . This device is an extremely efficient and compact instrument which displays the force-displacement measurement graphically and evalu- ates continuously all phases of a process by means of program- mable tolerance windows.

Profibus interface and an Ethernet connection for the output of QA data (I-P.M. or Q-DAS format) are standard for the Ty- pe 4734A... . Positions and joining parameters may be edited menu-driven in the device unit.

Application

The NCFH press module Type 2151A... is excellent for the use as linear actuator for assembly and joining tasks in automatic production plants as well as for manual manufacturing.

Vertical as well as horizontal installation is possible. Fixing of press units at a machine rack is performed by flange assembly.

The tapped of the roller screw has several threaded holes for tool fitting (please refer to dimension drawing).
