I deeply regret to inform you and request for retraction of our review paper published in YMJ.

We have applied for the U.S. patent with some ideas and re- search data which are related to the review paper. Upon re- quest from a patent lawyer’s office, we checked the refer- ences used in our paper for the Information Disclosure Statement (IDS). We realized that our review paper plagia-

rized several sentences from a previously published review paper titled as “The biochemical and biological functions of human papillomavirus type 16 E5 protein” in Arch Virol (2003;148:1445-53). As a corresponding author, I will take full responsibility and respectfully request for the retraction of our review paper from YMJ.
