An Experiment on Faraday’s Law of Induction by Using an MBL

The MBL-KNUE developed in this laboratory has a function generating many kinds of waveforms:

such as triangle waves and 2nd power, 3th power and 4th power function waves. Students can understand immediately that the induced emf (electromotive force) equals the negative of the time rate of change of the magnetic field which has many kinds of waveforms generated by the MBL.

When the virtual graph, found by differentiating the measured magnetic field, was quantitatively compared with the experimental graph of the induced emf, the parameter produced about a 5%

error. It takes within 10 minutes to experiment 4 kinds of wave form qualitatively and within 20 minutes quantitatively. The experiment in which the magnetic field in a solenoid was proportional to the intensity of the current was executed simultaneously with a 10 % error.
