Tender Notice
The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Nairobi invites qualified bidders to propose Security Guarding Services for the premises of the Korean Embassy and the residential diplomatic property in Nairobi.
1. Details
ㅇ Tender name: Provision of Security Guard Services.
ㅇ Duration: 1st April 2021 - 31st March 2022 (12 months).
ㅇ Scope of work: Security Guard Services for the premises of the Korean Embassy and residential diplomatic property in Nairobi.
ㅇ Total value of project (bid sum): KES 6,109,107/=
2. Eligibility for submission of tender
ㅇ The company should have valid permit/registration from relevant authorities for providing such services.
ㅇ The company must be fully compliant with the relevant Kenya regulations and laws.
3. Documents to be submitted (Necessary Forms Attached) 1). Bidding Application - 6 copies
2). Information Sheet for Security Service - 6 copies
3). Standard General Technical Services Agreement - 6 copies
4). Pledge to Implement Integrity Pact - 6 copies
5). Confidentiality Agreement - 6 copies

- Certified copy of Company Registration
- Certified copy of License as a Security Company
- Evidences of Security Guarding Services for the last 3 years
- Certified copy of Tax Compliance Certificate
- Reference Letters from at least 3 Clients
- Certified copy of Last Year’s Audited Book of Accounts (Summary)
4. Conditions of contract must follow the rules and regulations of the Government of Korea.
ㅇ The tender evaluation committee shall evaluate the submissions based on tender price and nature of proposal. Negotiations will then proceed with selected bidders.
5. Submission Timeline
Completed proposals should be dropped in the Application box located at the Embassy reception desk on the First Floor of the Embassy no later than 16:30, the 26th February (Fri), 2021.

6. Opening of Bidding Application : 2nd March 2021 14:00 (the Embassy)
7. Security deposit
ㅇ According to the Enforcement Decree of the Act on Contracts, to which the state is a party, tender applicants are required to deposit a bond of 5% of the bid sum at the time of submission of the bid document.
ㅇ In order to meet the contractual requirement of the Government of the Republic of Korea, within Ten (10) days from the date of finalized negotiation, the successful applicant shall sign the contract and return it to the procuring entity. If the applicant delays in signing the contract without proper reason, the bid bond shall be forfeited by the Embassy.
ㅇ The negotiation with the eligible bidder should be concluded within fifteen (15) days.
8. The tender procedure must follow the Government of Korea’s Act on Contracts and use the Government of Korea’s Standard Contract.
ㅇ At the singing of the contract, a Confidentiality Agreement and Pledge to Implement the Integrity Pact must be submitted.
