Job Description: WELDING, PIPING, MECHANICAL, STRUCTURAL AND MATERIAL RECEIVING Inspector.
Carry out inspection and testing activities for welding piping, mechanical, structural and material receiving.
Prepare and implement the available standards, code, tolerances based on the approved drawing and specification of the client.
Coordinate with the material control section for the schedule of material delivery and inspection schedule.
Coordinate with Goro Construction team if there is any hold point for the materials or need client disposition.
Conduct visual inspection on weldments specification, dimension and appearance of both piping and structural materials.
Check and confirm the quality of weld and welders qualification performing welding works base on the approved WPS.
Inspect and monitor WVIR (Welding Visual Inspection Report) prior to client approval and acceptance.
Conduct final inspection and generates inspection reports prior to client acceptance if erection is completed as per module basis.
Conduct dimensional and visual inspection of fit-up spool piece based on the approved ISO drawing.
Conduct inspection line checking and punch listing for the given test package for piping prior to Hydro testing and Pneumatic testing.
Generates QC inspection (In-Process and Final inspection Reports ) and other document concerning the quality of works and products.
Coordinates for NDE personnel for the testing (RT ,PT,MT AND PMI)of the welded joint of both structural and piping.
Conduct Mechanical inspection by checking the foundation’s orientation, location and levelness of equipment (pumps and compressors, vessels etc).
Responsible for the attaining the quality objective by implementing the correct job responsibilities in related and conforming to safety program.
Controls welding parameters and consumables during
installation/construction activities, supervising welding operations.
Checks the availability and suitability of the filler material and of the preheating, welding, heat treatment, the bevels, and the extent of the repairs made by the various welders and taking any corrective actions, the heat treatment record diagrams.
