Introduction to Jeonju University

Jeonju University is a successful university for students. We are breaking down boundaries between departments and majors and establishing a non-boundary convergence education system that combines various academic fields by flexibly changing the curriculum to respond to students' aptitude and society's needs.

It operates career guidance programs step by step so that students can find their aptitude from admission to graduation, and develops the expertise and practical skills required by society and businesses through core competency-oriented education such as convergence majors, flexible semesters, and home transfer systems.

We are running various programs so that we can adapt to Korean student life early. Through 1:1 mentoring activities with Korean students, You will improve your academic ability and become a member of the community through various Korean culture experience programs.

We are also pushing for diversification of university education and global campusization to enhance the global capabilities of students. Through close relationships with 306 universities, education, and government organizations from 30 countries around the world, universities and students will leap forward as leading players in growth through establishing a global educational space such as operating joint campuses overseas.

Strengths of Jeonju University

Various programs related to "living guidance, language education, personality education, cultural experience, reinforcement of majors, career path, and employment" are being conducted for international students who are attending the university by utilizing non-regular classes..

1. Self-examination conducted at Jeonju University's Korean Language Education Center to meet language requirements among application qualifications.

2. TOPIK only recognizes the acquisition report within two years of the deadline for application for each order.

3. If there is a problem with the entry of the application for admission, or if the attached documents are insufficient or the contact is lost, it may be excluded from the admission list, and no objection shall be made to the disadvantage caused by this.

V. Precautions for filing applications and submitting documents

A. Applicants who do not submit the submission documents within the due date will be rejected and the admission fee will not be refunded.

B. TOPIK scores are only those obtained within two years of the deadline for application for each order.

C. Submitted documents will not be returned regardless of whether they are accepted or not.

D. After payment of the admission fee, you cannot cancel or change the application, so please check the application.

E. When filling out an application, the applicant is responsible for any input errors (missing) and the school is not responsible for them.

2. Precautions to take when receiving applications

A. All documents submitted in Korean or English (for other languages, notarized after translation or confirmation of the embassy concerned)

B. When submitting language documents, D-4 visa holders must submit a certificate of completion (grade 3 or higher) of the Korean language training course.

C. Academic and nationality documentation may be replaced by original submission principles, translation and notarization.

D. High school graduates in foreign countries submit proof documents for their high school educational background by the deadline for application.

Applicants must submit their overseas high school graduation and transcript (re-graduate) certificate documents by the deadline for application receipt after receiving possible confirmation from the following

"A~C". If the submission of documents is delayed due to unavoidable circumstances, you must contact the admission department.

2. Documents of academic background (high school graduation and transcript) that have been confirmed by the consul of Korea in the host country

E. In case of unusual reasons such as early graduation, monthly class, etc., a certificate of confirmation from the relevant school or government agency is issued and submitted.

F. Successful candidates who submit a certificate of graduation must submit a copy of the certificate of graduation before the date of admission.

G. Additional documents other than submission documents may be requested for examination confirmation H, not disclosing all of the results and evaluations.

3. Notes on the Apostille Convention

A. Convention to abolish the requirement for certification of foreign official documents (effective July 14, 2007 in Korea)

B. For mutual certification of official documents between the Contracting States, the process of consular verification of overseas diplomatic missions is omitted and the issuing country confirms it.

C. The documents of the Contracting States identified as Apostille shall have the same effect as the confirmation of the consulate abroad.

VI. Admissions Eligibility and Requirements

1. Freshmen

3. Additional Guidance A. Nationality recognition

1) Foreigner means a person who does not have the nationality of the Republic of Korea.

2) Multiple nationalities are not recognized as foreigners

3) Both parents and students are recognized when acquiring foreign nationals before the start of the curriculum corresponding to the Korean high school curriculum.

B. Foreign school curriculum recognition

1) Foreign schools should be located in foreign countries, not in Korea. (Foreign schools based in Korea are not recognized as foreign schools.)

2) Only regular school courses in which a certain educational background is recognized under the relevant country's education-related statutes are recognized.

3) Curriculum for language purposes, university preparation, lifelong curriculum, adult college curriculum, etc. are excluded.

C. Admission of enrollment

Foreigners whose parents are both foreigners.

 Foreigners who have completed at least 12 years of all curriculum in elementary, middle and high schools, regardless of whether they are foreign-based or

domestic-based schools.

Education Outside of Korea(Foreigners)

 A person who has completed all of the curriculum (12 years) corresponding to elementary, middle and high schools in Korea from abroad.

 If an elementary or secondary school course is completed in two or more countries overseas, it is recognized as follows.

However,due to the school year system, the duration of the course completed by the relevant university is recognized as the number of high school courses.

11th Grade

In the case of completing the last three years of elementary and secondary school courses in the relevant country, it is recognized as a high school course.

 However, at least 11 years of elementary and secondary school courses must be completed in two or more countries to be recognized.

12th Grade

Above 12th

Grade Recognition : 10th ~ 12th Grade(11th ~ 13th Grade)

 However, if a person who has completed more than 12 years of elementary and secondary school courses at two or more different schools inevitably misses or duplicates the total period of attendance within the first semester (6 months) due to the difference in the school system.

 If the school system or early graduation system is allowed by the relevant country's education-related statutes, etc., it is exceptionally recognized if it is insufficient due to monthly or early graduation during the 12-year course of elementary, middle, and high school.

12 Foreigners who have completed all curricula in elementary and secondary schools in countries that adopt a school system for less than 12 years will be recognized as equivalent to those who graduated from high schools in Korea.

1. Information on financial guarantee documents A. Exporters

1) China: A certificate of freezing 125,000 yuan worth of money in the account of the person or his/her parents for more than a year.

Copy the front and back of the deposit account (final deposit) and submit it with the certificate of balance

The bank balance certificate must be issued as the relevant bank's habitat, and the bank's contact information must be listed.

The depositor is limited to the bankbook in the name of the person or his/her parents.

If it is difficult to submit a bank balance certificate, you can remit USD 18,000 to our university's bank account.

Domestic residents are recognized only for the balance certificate issued by the Bank of Korea to their own account.

2. Additional submission documents for Chinese residents.

All changes within at least 6 months of the application deadline will be recorded and copies of the whole family are submitted.

If the entire family is not included in one pocketbook, a certificate of kinship is issued by the police station in charge and additionally provided.

If parents divorce, submit divorce certificate

Submit a death certificate when parents die of death

The place of work on the mortgage and the certificate of employment must be the same.

「Original and translated copies of wealth and mock employment certificates」

The office, period of office, position, and contact information of the issuing department shall be recorded.

The parent's identification card number must be accurately written.

The exact contact information of the place of employment must be recorded as it is wired with the parent office.

3. Selection criteria and guidelines

Recruitment is conducted without limitation of the quota, and the applicant's language and mathematics skills and the capacity of each population unit are taken into account.

Those who do not submit documents (not submitted) and those who do not qualify for the application determined by this school will be rejected.

If the total score is less than 140 points as a result of the interview test, it will be rejected.

The interview test is conducted at the designated exam room on campus, and telephone interviews are conducted for overseas residents.

Those who do not attend the interview will be rejected.

X. Applicant Reminder

「Basics」

If it is confirmed that the submitted documents have been forfeited, falsified, false or proxy tests, the admission will be canceled even after admission, and all tuition paid will not be returned.

Two or more colleges, colleges, industrial universities, and educational universities with the same entrance semester cannot be registered twice, and admission will be canceled if the registration ban is violated. In this case, all tuition paid will not be returned.

If a high school graduate does not qualify for high school graduation before the date of admission to this school, the acceptance (admission)

Even those who have been granted admission (admission) are not allowed to issue a visa at the immigration office of the Ministry of Justice or overseas missions, the admission (admission) will be canceled and the tuition paid will be fully refunded. 「Credit recognition of transfer applicants」

The examination and decision of credit recognition is handled in accordance with the school's school rules, the enforcement rules of school rules, and the detailed standards for credit recognition of transferred students.

Credit recognition of transfer students is recognized within 65 credits (96 credits for 4th graders), except for those specifically prescribed in academic rules, enforcement rules, detailed standards for transfer student credit recognition, etc.

A transfer student must register for at least 4 semesters (excluding seasonal semesters) after transfer, complete all curriculum courses necessary to graduate from the admission standard of the transfer unit, including recognized credits, and obtain a total of 130 credits.

All transfer students may not be able to graduate within the school year due to the completion of the required courses and the composition of the timetable required by the school, so they should select a recruitment unit considering this.
