JERUSALEM IS NOT EXPRESSLY NAMED ANYWHERE IN THE KORAN says Irvin Schermer, Jerusalem. Moreover, there is substantial evidence to support the conclusion that the so-called "sanctity" of Jerusalem to Islam is more a

political concept than a religious one. Standing alone, the horrendous and

heartless demolition by Moslem bulldozers of parts of the Temple Mount, and the wholesale dumping of its sacred stones, and artifacts, some of them dating to the First Temple, dispels the authenticity of any claim of the sanctity of Jerusalem to the Moslems. (The Jerusalem Post, September 1, 2000)

SEMINOLE – From large Teddy bears to tiny Beanie Babies, more than 700 stuffed animals made their way to Pinellas County ready for some serious hugging. These stuffies were collected across the state as part of the Grand Chapter of Florida Eastern Star’s Hospice support campaign.

“These animals will be given to children under the care of Hospice, as well as those dealing with bereavement in their families,” said Beverly Newton, the chapter’s Worthy Grand Matron, who selected Hospice as her “pet project” for the year.

The chapter will continue to hold fundraisers through April.

Newton began her love for community work as an owner of her family’s Barney’s Motorcycle and Marine business. But those projects were short term, and Newton wanted to do more.

To fulfill that desire to help, she reached back to her roots. Her great grandfather was a Mason, and she fondly remembered participating in many youth activities. In 1980, she got involved again. She’s been a Seminole resident for 20 years.

This year, Newton serves as the top-woman in the organization: The Worthy Grand Matron of the Grand Chapter of Florida Eastern Star.

“Beverly Newton is the most dynamic, energetic and wholesome person I have ever known,”

said Alice Lanier, past Grand Matron and current Grand Secretary.

The group backs causes like heart health, cancer support, the Shriner’s Hospital and two college grant programs. Tens of thousands of dollars are donated every year by the state Eastern Star.

The Salvation Army also received help from the chapter.

“We made clothing and got other donations of toothbrushes and toothpaste for over 100 children,” said Newton.

The care packages will go to Hurricane Katrina families or others that the Salvation Army wants to help.

To add some spark to the organization’s activities, Newton hatched the idea for a Fall Festival Extravaganza last year, Lanier said. This year, all Masonic groups were involved in this project at the Masonic Home of Florida in northeast St. Petersburg.

“I was very proud of the participation of the many fraternities that all joined together,” said Newton.

On Oct. 29 and 30, members from throughout the state attended and had vendor tables to raise money. Arts and crafts, costume contests, refreshments and lunch on the grounds topped the bill. A special reception welcomed representatives from around the state. The weekend ended with a parade in front of the Masonic Home.

“It was extremely successful,” said Lanier. “Beverly was the driving force behind its success.”

The Eastern Star organization is international and is the largest fraternal organization in the world that has both men and women as members. According to its national Web site, the organization is “a social order comprised of persons with spiritual values, but it is not a religion. Its appeal rests in the true beauty of the refreshing and character-building lessons that are so sincerely portrayed in its ritualistic work.”

In Florida about 23,000 members are signed up with about 25 percent of them being quite active, Newton estimated.

Newton was initiated into the Eastern Star in May of 1984 and has been an officer every year and Worthy Matron four times.

“Our organization is a charitable one,” said Lanier. “Beverly has the qualities of kindness, empathy, love, humor, courage and understanding that make her a true Eastern Star.”

CROUCH CONFESSES A WINDFALL IN THE STOCK MARKET

(TBN - 8.22.99) During his fund raising Paul Crouch confessed the following: he was approached to buy stock and he said he invested just a few dollars. "Something" spoke to him to check on the stock and it had gone up to nearly $100 a share bringing him nearly

$1 million in just a few weeks [months]. [Comment: He didn't just buy a few shares. To get close to a million. It would have had to be around 10,000 shares].

Paul Crouch made another interesting comment: "Transferring the wealth of the wicked to the church FORCE GOD TO PERFORM A MIRACLE BY PLANTING

THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS AND YOUR LAST DOLLAR. If you don't have any, God will produce a miracle to get it to you. DO YOU HAVE A SICK CHILD? DON'T GO TO JESUS IN PRAYER, PLANT COLD CASH INTO TBN AND GOD WILL MAKE YOUR CHILD WELL."

GUIDESTAR.ORG WEBSITE SUPPOSEDLY PUBLISHING ALL 990 TAX RETURNS 97/98

(NY Times 10.18.99) Charities' tax returns to go on the Web. Detailed tax returns that charities file annually with the federal government are to be posted on the Internet beginning today, giving quick and easy access to comprehensive details on how charities are spending their money.. The scrutiny of all charities, these organizations say, will ultimately bring major changes to the financial practices of the $700 billion charitable world. "We are on the verge of a whole new era of nonprofit accountability," said Arthur W. Schmidt Jr., president of Philanthropic Research, which is posting the so-called information returns, Form 990s, on the Web... Since June, Congress has required all charities to make their 990 returns readily available. The first 140,000 of the 220,000 are available now..

The website claims to have 620,000 organizations in their databank. Strange is that most of TBN's crowd are not listed and if they are their last tax reports were old. In example Hal Lindsey 1992 last report. Morningstar, John Hagee, Bishop T.D.Jakes, Schambach, Copelands are not on the list. TBN lists a film company in the arts. Coral Ridge in Fort Lauderdale did report 1997 $27,300,831.00 income and $11,922.157.00 in assets.

The website is asking people to donate and volunteer time to the various organizations through them. They plan to become more elaborate and describe the various

organizations, how the money is spent and provide links. Fox News is beginning to roast people who are slothful with the public's money. They plan to change the donation landscape. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is not listed but all the individual Reorganized LDS organizations are. I doubt that the website knew what they were getting into because many charitable groups simply are not required to file or are profit-making and the membership hasno clue.

JEREMIAH FILMS SUED FOR $16 MILLION

(jeremiahfilms.com - October 1999) What has been overlooked in all the newsletters we receive is Jeremiah Film's recent legal battles. Jeremiah Films was very instrumental in getting films out about cults, social and government issues. They filmed the Clinton Chronicles and the Foster "suicide" expose'. Their website is in existence and they still sell their videos. They published what happened at the Little Rock, Arkansas Court involving them and Citizens of Honest Government. .

Two members of the Police Department in the Little Rock, Arkansas's political machine sued Pat Matrisciana, (the producer of the Clinton Chronicles) and Citizens for Honest Government. Citizens for Honest Government had asked Jeremiah Films to produce the Clinton Chronicles and others. The reason they filmed the videos was obstruction of Justice. The plaintiffs, claiming that they had been defamed in the lawsuit, obtained judgment of nearly $600,000, which Matrisciana has appealed.

The trial was August 2, 1999 and the case revolved around the two teens who were placed on the railroad tracks after they were murdered. They call it the "Train Deaths"

Murders. Jay Campbell and Kirk Lane, the plaintiffs, sued for $16 million even though they were named as suspects in the murder case. The mother of one of the murdered sons described the 12-year fight for justice and named Campbell and Lane as hands-on killers of her son. There were eyewitnesses. The incident was connected to a drug smuggling ring and the CIA.

A former drug prosecutor Jean Duffy described massive corruption and had to flee for her life. She had evidence but Attorney Chuck Banks halted the drug-ring investigation. In spite of all this evidence Jeremiah Films and Citizens for Honest Government lost the case. 25% of the $600,000 finally settled on was to be paid by Jeremiah Films and Citizens were to pay the rest. The final result was that Jeremiah Films was exonerated from the fine but Citizens for Honest Government are now defunct.

Matrisciana stated that this was a gross miscarriage of justice and said that the jury

"clearly misapplied the law under the guidelines set down by the judge." The law failed to bring to justice the killers of the two boys who stumbled upon a drug drop. An appeal is being considered because this case is a First Amendment issue. Citizens for honest government were paralyzed. (The entire court proceedings are available verbatim on their website jeremiahfilms.com)

PROMISE KEEPERS

(Charisma Magazine 8.99) According to Bishop Long the national men's ministry Promise Keepers (PK) dropped the ball on racial reconciliation at a pivotal point three years ago. PK founder Bill McCartney is a "ordained, charged, led, God-sent man," Long says. But he believes McCartney's vision for racial reconciliation among men "got mixed because other men got in there and started voting on it. They did not catch the real heart of what God was doing through him," Long says. "They did not have [McCartney's] heart." The PK's pastors rally in Atlanta in 1996 was a turning point for the organization. "They missed the boat," said Bishop Long. [Comment: According to Guidestar PK's assets are $12,720.041 in 1997 and income of $68,089,484

JUDGE DENIES HENRY LYONS' REQUEST

(The Tampa Tribune, 7.30.99 & 10.26.99) Rev. Henry J. Lyons took a last stab at getting his sentence reduced. Soon after his arrival in the state prison system, Lyons was taken from protective custody and placed with career criminals. His head was shaved, and he was required to undergo "boot camp training" with other inmates with violent histories.

Judge Susan Schaeffer scoffs at Lyon's request read the headline August 6, 1999. She said that there was no repentance before the trial. Now he has regrets about his situation behind bars. Lyon's co-defendant drew a 21-month prison sentence. She was hoping to avoid a sentence behind bars. She failed to pay taxes on more than $500,000 she received from the National Baptist Convention U.S.A.

TBN

(Charisma Magazine, 8.99) TBN fights to keep Miami station after losing battle with FCC. Paul Crouch lost his license in April to air in Miami. He allegedly abused FCC minority ownership policies. He appealed and the decision is to be decided in early 2000.

The film "The Omega Code" is taking the Christian message to mainstream movie

theaters. TBN staked $6.5 million in the project. The Omega Code is INTENTIONALLY VAGUE ON MANY BIBLICAL POINTS. "We just tell a good story about a bad guy who wants to take over the world," stated Matt Crouch. The Omega Code looks and feels like major Hollywood production.

(TBN 10.20.99) 330,000 churches with 450,000 volunteers "partners" are participating in soliciting people to come and see the film. Their comments: "We are invading

Hollywood. The Omega Code is the Blair Witch movie. Let the walls come down. The movies may become the medium of their own salvation.

Guidestar lists TBN Films Inc. as a nonprofit under arts, culture, holography. 1997 assets:

$7,060.099 with an income of $2,682,570.

JOYNER AND BAKKER JOIN FORCES

(Charisma Magazine 8.99) Rick Joyner's Morning Star donated a 17,000 square-foot log lodge in Charlotte, NC to Jim Bakker (former PTL President) for purposes of building Bakker's New Covenant Fellowship ministry. Football star Reggie White is teaming up with Jim Bakker to provide some opportunities for the people living in the area.

[Editor's note: I watched Rick Joyner last night and he talks to his congregation

addressing them as soldiers. He promised promotions and told them that God would call on them to come out of the trenches one of these days SOON FOR THE NEW MOVE.

God will need generals to fill the trenches. Rick Joyner is in love with famous sports figures. He believes that they will be the leaders of the Christian communities one of these days which is beginning to bear fruit in attracting the football star Reggie White.

ANGEL FEATHERS FALL ON BETHEL

(Charisma Magazine 8.99) More than 500 people in Toronto now have received gold teeth. The sings and wonders in the church have continued. At Bill Johnson's church in Redding, California small little feathers fall from the ceiling and have been doing that for some time. Bethel has been the sight of some "awesome miracles" recently. The feathers started dropping after a Morning Star Prophet (the Ministry of Rick Joyner) visited the church for a series of meetings. Mr. Kelly a member of Bethel AOG of Redding describes the appearance of feathers: "The feathers thing has been truly amazing. I believe it started when we had the prophet Bobby Conners come to our church for a series of meetings. During ministry time people would see feathers fall from the ceiling and Bobby explained it as a sign of angelic activity.. (I thought it was dove feathers). I'm not sure if he was saying they were angel feathers or not.. But ever since he came we have seen feathers falling from the ceiling.. they are very small and delicate, and not many fall, but you can see them from a good distance.. God is always surprising us with new things.

A QUOTE FROM BOBBY CONNERS' WEBSITE

(End Times, September/ October 1999) Bobby Conners is a close friend of Rick Joyner. I read his newsletter on his website. Here is a quote from his newsletter:

(www.bobbyconners.org) "The next event that happened to me was that I suddenly had pressure on my forehead. It was as if a very hot hand was being pressed against my forehead directly above my eyes. I feel that this is a sign of the Lord's marking or branding upon the foreheads of His servants. Additionally, the Lord is giving His

prophets a tender heart but a hard head. The Lord said, "You will need my rest and peace upon you to make it through the things that are coming."" "REVOLUTION" is one of his keywords.

ELECTROCUTED TEENS BY GOD'S POWER

(TBN 10.20.99) I happened to watch a rerun of Hinn's Toronto crusade and I was mortified. Benny Hinn is concentrating on young teenagers now. "Fire on these kids!

Electrocuted by God's power! That's God's anointing on these kids." "Come friends look at the anointing on these kids! Let the fire come down on these young people!" The kids were totally out of control. Their legs went out from under them like rubber and they slammed down jerking and trembling all over, contorting their bodies in epileptic fashion.

Hinn shouted: "Lord I give you these kids, they are electrocuted. It's the Holy Ghost on these kids. Come on up here! That's fire on you - You and I used to pray for this to happen. That's the glory of God on these kids enjoying God's fire." Benny points at one of a man on stage and electrocuted him in the spirit. He glowingly bragged that the man was a pilot of American Airlines.

"Let this happen in every church in America." So-called fire came down on a large group.

Benny's voice started to growl. "I never thought this would happen in Canada. I will pore out my spirit upon your sons and daughters," Hinn shouted. A woman in agony,

shrieking, he couldn't pick up the young lady, and started laughing. Their bodies were all in spasms from top to bottom - shrieking people. I have never in my life seen anything as scary as that. People were laying all over the stage jerking. "Fog will hit your home and families. The same fire will come on your homes," Hinn told them. The audience was huge in a stadium in Toronto, Canada and they were told to shout "fire" in unison and the shaking got worse.

Benny Hinn related that he has had experiences when he thought he was going to die. He supposedly said to the "Holy Spirit", "if you fill me anymore, I'm going to die." This is what he did to the kids on stage. He prayed over the audience that this anointing would be placed on the parents, children and grandchildren.

Benny Hinn is celebrating his 25th anniversary asking $100 a plate at the celebration. He is giving up his church in Orlando and starting a Healing Center in Dallas, Texas

November 1, 99. A new book is out "Divine Healing," It speaks to the river. "The Holy Spirit is the substance of Healing." [Comment: The Holy Spirit is a personage and part of the Godhead. False prophets will be judged harsher then others.] I have been waiting for someone to prove the evil spiritual activity with facts but is seems impossible. I received an urgent email to get Benny's ministry shut down. This fellow like me just couldn't
