○ 도시과학 특성화 대학
도시과학 특성화 대학인 서울시립대학교는 특성화 대학인 도시과학대학과 여러 부설 연구소를 통해 서울시의 도시문제에 대한 연구를 병행하고 있으며 특히 세무학과, 도시행정학과, 환경공학부 등 도시과학 분야 학과는 국내 최고 수준의 교육과 연구 역량을 보유하고 있습니다.

3. 지원자 유의 사항
(1) 지원자는 NIIED가 제시한 지원 서류목록과 양식을 참조하여 누락사항 없이 제출서류를 정확하게 준비해야 합니다.
- 모든 서류는 원본으로 제출하되, 사본을 제출하는 경우에는 반드시 공증 사본을 받아서 제출하시기 바랍니다.
- 한국어나 영어로 작성되지 않은 서류는 공증 받은 한국어 또는 영어 번역본을 첨부하여야 합니다.
(2) 작성이 완료된 입학지원서 양식들을 모든 제출서류와 함께 등기우편으로 발송하거나 방문하여 제출하면 됩니다.
(3) 지원자가 제출한 서류만으로 사실 확인이 어려운 경우 필요한 서류를 추가로 요구하여 확인할 수 있습니다.
(4) 최종합격자는 학력입증서류(졸업증명서, 성적증명서)의 해당 국가 대한민국 영사인증 또는 아포스티유 확인서를 제출해야 합니다.
(5) 입학지원서 입력사항의 착오, 누락, 오기 등으로 인한 불이익은 본인의 책임이므로 신중을 기하여 작성하시기 바라며, 원칙적으로 지원서를 제출한 후에는 지원사항(모집단위, 지원과정 등) 변경이나 취소가 불가하며 어떠한 경우라도 입학 후 학과(전공)변경 불가합니다.

Ⅰ. Overview of the University 1. Overview
The University of Seoul (UOS), located in South Korea's capital city, is a public university founded and run by the Seoul Metropolitan Government. The UOS has been continuing to foster experts that our society has needed for the last 100 years. The UOS also has become one of world’s most recognized university for the urban sciences by specializing in the field of urban sciences, and it has been contributing to education as well as research in regards to various issues in urbanization. ○ Global Center for Urban Sciences
The UOS’s flagship is the College of Urban Science, and has domestic top-tier programs in fields of the Science in Taxation, Urban Administration, and Environmental Engineering. With several UOS-affiliated research institutes, the UOS deals with issues regarding urbanization in Seoul metropolitan area.
○ The Globalization of the UOS
According to 2015 report by THE, Times Higher Education, the UOS is ranked 7th among Korean universities and ranked 49th among Asian universities in the Asia University Rankings.
The UOS is well recognized as one of the best university in Korea especially in the field of hands-on experience with public/private industries, research capability, and globalization. In addition, the UOS has international partnerships with 511 universities from 68 countries in order to be more globalized. About 600 foreign students and exchange students choose to study in the UOS every year.
○ The Only 4-Year Public University run by Seoul Government
As the only public university supported by Seoul, the UOS is in the upper ranks in various university performance evaluation indices that show students’ satisfaction with the UOS’s general system, scholarship system, and welfare system. <Department of Music Audition Requirements>
① General Requirement : Department of Music Audition Application Form (Graduate program) Submission.
② Only those who hold bachelor’s degree in music or an equivalent are eligible for the Department of Music (Vocal, Musical, Piano, Violin) admission(Exception: Applicants for Musical can apply regardless of their undergraduate majors)
③ An accompanist will not be provided by the UOS. Applicants should bring their own
accompanist. For applicants who need accompaniment track, it is required to seal and submit accompaniment CD(MR) along with application documents (plus audition form). Those who will use accompaniment track must mark a check box for using MR on the Audition Application form.
※ If applicant encounters difficulty in entering South Korea on a audition day, he/she can submit video-taped performance (DVD) to replace the audition.

Composition Submit three musics which an applicant has recently composed. Out of three musics, more than two musics need to be recorded and submitted as well.
3. Important Notes
(1) Applicants must submit all the documents by the checklist order provided by NIIED.
- Documents should be presented in their original form. In case of submitting photocopied documents, the photocopied documents must be notarized.
- Documents not in English or Korean must be accompanied by a complete English or Korean translation authenticated by the issuing institution or notarized by a notary’s office.
(2) Visit the office of the Institute of International Cooperation and Education (IICE) with your application documents or send them via postal mail.
(3) Applicants may be asked to submit additional documents in case of insufficient documentation.
(4) Scholar grantees must submit certificates to prove their degree (graduation certificate and official transcripts). All documents shall obtain apostille or the Consular Authentication from a Korean consulate in the region where one studies.
(5) Applicants will be responsible for any mistakes or omissions made by himself/herself in the applications. Please pay close attention while filling in an application form. Once the documents are submitted, all the information (e.g., applying field of study, degree course)
