D. 남자와 여자에서 청력과 골밀도와의 교차비

Ⅴ. 결론

청력 손실이 흔하게 관찰되는 50세 이상의 인구집단에서,남성은 청력과 골다 공증의 관련성을 보이지 않았으나,여성은 골밀도가 감소될수록 청력감소가 크게 관찰되었다.골밀도와 청력의 관계는 저음역인 3분법 순음평균 역치보다는 고음 역인 4000Hz,8000Hz에서 통계적으로 유의한 연관성을 보였으며,이것은 좌,우 측 양측에서 동일하였다.청력은 대퇴 경부 골밀도나 대퇴 전체 골밀도보다는 특히 요추골밀도와의 유의한 연관성을 보였다.

향후,50세 이상의 여성을 대상으로 골밀도와 청력 사이의 선,후 관계를 밝히 기 위한 장기 추적 연구가 필요하며 골밀도 감소가 청력에 미치는 기전을 밝히 기 위한 동물실험이 필요하다.

Background:The aim ofthe study is to evaluate the association between hearingdifficultyandbonemineraldensityinadultsovertheageof50years old.

Methods: We examined 1523 adults over the age of 50 years who participated in health check up from 2006 to 2008.Pure tone audiometry (PTA) was conducted for hearing and bone mineraldensity (BMD) were measuredwithdualenergyX-rayabsorptiometry.

Result: A significantassociation was found between hearing loss in high frequency andosteoporosisinonly womenovertheageof50yearsold.The association between osteoporosisand hearing lossin the4000Hzand 8000Hz remained significantafteradjusting for risk factors forhearing loss while

Lumbarspine BMD was associated with likelihood for hearing impairment. No association wasfound between hearing lossand bonemineraldensity in men.

Conclusion:In women overtheageof50yearsold,low lumbarspinebone mineral density is associated with hearing impairment specially in high frequency.Weneedfurtherstudytorevealthemechanism.
