Ⅴ. 결론

이번 연구에서,정상범위 내에서 γ-GT의 상승이 남녀 모두에서 각각 hsCRP 와 유의한 상관관계가 있었다.이전 연구에서는 γ-GT의 상승이 전신적인 염증 반응의 지표 및 증가된 산화스트레스의 독립적인 지표로서 hsCRP와 관련 있으 며,정상범위 내에서의 γ-GT의 상승이 세포 산화 스트레스의 초기 지표일 수 있 다는 연구가 있으나,기저 γ-GT 농도가 정상인 군에서 남녀를 대상으로 각각 γ -GT의 상승이 hsCRP와 관련 있다고 연구된 것은 없었다.γ-GT의 정상범위는 남녀 성별에 따라 차이가 있기 때문에,성별에 따른 각각의 정상 범위 내에서도 γ-GT의 상승이 hsCRP와 관련되어 있는지 연구하는 것은 의미가 있을 것으로 생각되며,이번 논문에서는 γ-GT가 정상인 군을 대상으로 하였고,남녀를 구분 하여 분석하였다는 것이 기존 연구와 차이점으로 의미가 있다.향후에는 혈청 γ -GT과 hsCRP의 관련성을 설명할 수 있는 기전에 대한 연구도 이루어져야 할 필요가 있다고 생각된다.

Serum gamma-glutamyltransferase(γ-GT) was thought of as an clinical marker of oxidative stress. Elevated serum γ-GT is known to be associated with increased systemic inflammation and oxidative stress independently. A previous studies have suggested thatserum γ-glutamyltransferase (GGT)within its normalrange mightbe an early markerofoxidative stress.The normalγ -GT range is respectively different according to the gender. So, it is meaningfultostudy abouttheelevation ofγ-GT isrelated tohigh sensitive C-reactive protein(hsCRP) in the nornalrange ofeach gender.However, there is no previous study whetherserum γ-GT and the plasma hsCRP in normal γ-GT range is relevant and statistically significant in men and women.This study attempted to evaluate whether serum γ-GT and the plasma hsCRP in normalγ-GT rangeisrelevantand statistically significant

in men and women,respectively.We analyzed the data of 3,724 korean adults(men 1,878and women 1,846)whovisited theHealth Promotion Center for a medicalcheck-up between March 2011 and February 2012.Subjects with γ-GT concentrations ofabnormalrange,a positive testforhepatitisB virus surface antigen,a positive testforhepatitis C virus antibody,taking medication ofany ofthefollowing conditions:diabetes,hypertension,stroke, orhsCRP higherthan 10.0mg/L,a whiteblood cell(WBC)counthigherthan 10,000 cells/ml,,were excluded.Men and women were classified into four groupsaccording to theirserum γ-GT concentrations.Classifying theserum γ-GT into quartiles,there was a statistically significantdifferences in the body mass index, abdominal circumference, body fat, AST, ALT, total cholesterol. triglyceride, HDL cholesterol, fasting glucose, systolic blood pressure,diastolic blood pressure,hsCRP in men.In each γ-GT groups in women,allthe variables(include age)had statistically significantdifference. A linear regression model analysis indicated that serum γ-GT were significantly related tothelogarithmsoftheplasmalevelsofhsCRP in men andwomen.Inconclusion,therewasasignificantcorrelationbetween hsCRP and serum γ-GT in the normal γ-GT range in both men and women, which isthoughtto beassociated with systemicinflammation and oxidative stress.
