Vacancy Announcement
The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Islamabad is seeking to fill a vacant position of Secretary to the Ambassador. Details are as follows:
Essential Quantification:
Candidates will initially be screened on essential qualifications, education, language, and experience. Candidates must clearly demonstrate in their application template and resume how they are qualified for the position.
Education:
Bachelor’s or above
Language:
Fluency in English and Urdu
Experience:
At least 2-3 years of experience Summary of Duties:
(1) General Secretarial Duties
- Managing the internal communication flow by distributing other documents and correspondence as directed by H.E. the Ambassador;
- Coordinating good time management for H.E. the Ambassador
- Updating regularly H.E. the Ambassador’s daily schedules for meetings, ceremonies, and other official gatherings
- Receiving / distributing Embassy mail and addressing items with H.E. the Ambassador on time
- Filing and organizing business cards and documents
- Following up on all assignments and updating H.E. the Ambassador - Recieving phone calls and taking messages with professional manner - Registering documents assigned to third parties
- Responding to official letters or diplomatic notes with standard language and format
- Translating documents when necessary
- Preparing documents for meetings - etc.
(2) Ambassador’s Scheduling
- Organizing and supervising arrangements made for meetings and conferences and prepare travel documents and briefings in coordination with H.E. the Ambassador, the Ambassadress, and other embassy staff - Reminding the driver about assigned destinations and arranging accurate
timings - etc.
(3) Other Duties
- Accomplishing extra assignments by H.E. the Ambassador in a timely manner
- Keeping in close contact and fostering good relationships with Diplomatic Service Bureau
- Assisting with Embassy events when requested
- Working with Public Affairs Department and other related departments distribution of PR materials in regards to providinig names and contact information for recipients
