Objectives of P4G 02

•‌‌The‌objective‌of‌P4G‌is‌to‌deliver‌scalable‌and‌replicable‌

impact‌on‌climate‌action‌targets‌and‌make‌progress‌on‌

the‌Sustainable‌Development‌Goals,‌especially‌within‌its‌

country‌partners‌in‌developing‌countries.‌

•‌‌In‌essence,‌P4G‌aims‌to‌accelerate‌solutions‌on‌the‌five‌

main‌P4G‌sectors‌(Food,‌Water,‌Energy,‌Cities,‌and‌Circular‌

Economy)‌that‌are‌closely‌interlinked‌to‌the‌SDGs‌and‌

replicate‌them‌in‌P4G‌country‌partners‌and‌beyond.

P4G Activities (Partnerships) 03

•‌‌Key‌activities‌of‌P4G‌include‌co-creating‌and‌accelerating‌

pioneering‌green‌partnerships‌aligned‌with‌country‌priorities,‌

leveraging‌global‌networks,‌and‌scaling‌and‌replicating‌

commercially‌viable‌models‌of‌change.

•‌‌P4G‌partnerships‌are‌multi-stakeholder‌entities‌with‌private‌

sector‌ and‌ civil‌ society‌ partners‌ and‌ have‌ the‌ aim‌ of‌

delivering‌transformative‌impact‌in‌P4G’s‌five‌main‌sectors‌

within‌P4G’s‌country‌partners‌and‌beyond.

Why is P4G so unique?

05

•‌‌Conventionally,‌international‌consultative‌bodies‌are‌

comprised‌entirely‌of‌either‌governments,‌businesses,‌or‌

civil‌societies‌only.‌

•‌‌In‌comparison,‌P4G‌is‌unique‌because‌it‌is‌an‌inclusive‌

multilateral‌platform‌encompassing‌private‌and‌public‌

sector‌ stakeholders‌ that‌ is‌ focused‌ on‌ delivering‌

commercially-viable‌solutions‌on‌the‌ground.‌

•‌‌In‌summary,‌P4G‌stands‌out‌in‌a‌sense‌that

▲‌‌‌as‌a‌global‌multilateral‌body‌made‌up‌of‌governments,‌

businesses,‌and‌civil‌societies,‌it‌complements‌the‌

conventional‌government-led‌UN‌system,

▲‌‌‌it‌ focuses‌ on‌ providing‌ concrete‌ solutions‌

implemented‌in‌its‌country‌partners‌that‌can‌be‌scaled‌

and‌replicated‌to‌make‌progress‌on‌climate‌change‌

responses‌and‌SDG‌achievements

▲‌‌‌it‌proactively‌nurtures‌innovative‌businesses‌ideas‌and‌

accelerates‌action-oriented‌public-private‌partnerships,

▲‌‌‌and‌ aims‌ to‌ build‌ sustainable‌ business‌ models‌

with‌ governments‌ supporting‌ the‌ early‌ stages‌ of‌

commercialization‌and‌businesses‌actively‌investing‌

in‌ later‌ stages,‌ thereby‌ bridging‌ the‌ gap‌ between‌

development‌and‌investment.

P4G Partners 04

•‌‌P4G‌ platform‌ has‌ a‌ balanced‌ representation‌ of‌ not‌

only‌governments‌but‌also‌international‌organizations,‌

businesses,‌and‌civil‌societies.

-‌‌‌Governments:‌12‌countries‌from‌each‌continent,‌each‌

of‌which‌has‌established‌a‌National‌Platform‌to‌engage‌

relevant‌ stakeholders‌ and‌ support‌ P4G‌ activities‌ in- country

P4G Keywords: inclusiveness (PPP), innovation (new ideas), sustainability (business partnerships)
