1/1 On behalf of the Korean Society for NeuroRehabilitation (KSNR) and the Asia-Oceanian Society for NeuroRehabilitation (AOSNR), I am pleased to inform you that “Brain &
NeuroRehabilitation (BNR)” came to be an official journal of both.
It will provide a great opportunity to both members of societies for improving their academic and clinical knowhow in the neurorehabilitation field by sharing and communicating valuable knowledge between them. Especially, when it comes to technology related to the neurorehabilitation, which is growing extremely fast these days, it became inevitable to be connected closely to each other in order to achieve our scientific and clinical goals.
In addition, there might be a vast number of topics that would be interesting such as the epidemiology of various diseases, differences in therapeutic approaches, the cultural aspect of the neurorehabilitation, and the differences in a public system between different countries.
The journal, nevertheless, is not especially focused on Asian issues, but is aiming at publishing research papers from all over the world. The BNR is interested in every field of clinical practice and investigative research pertaining to neurorehabilitation of stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson's disease, geriatric neurorehabilitation, pediatric neurorehabilitation, orthotics & prosthetics for neurorehabilitation, multimodal
neuroimaging technics for measuring brain plasticity, various neuromodulation technics, and other novel neurorehabilitation technics such as neurorehabilitation using virtual reality, robotics, and brain-computer interface.
The BNR is an open access and online journal and published twice in a year on the last days of March and September. We will try to make BNR accessible through PubMed Central soon and a high standard, international journal as early as possible.
In this issue, you can find an interesting review related virtual reality in neurorehabilitation, and interesting original articles and cases. I hope you enjoy reading, and don't hesitate to submit your valuable works to BNR.
