2. Trillanes to bring SC arrest order to SC

Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV said he would challenge the application of the Department of Justice (DOJ) for a warrant to arrest him for rebellion and coup d’état, and also challenge in the Supreme Court the President’s proclamation, which he described as “illegal.”
He said the rebellion and coup d’état charges against him were dismissed in September 2011. He showed reporters court documents to prove that the cases had been dismissed.
3. Inflation surges to 6.4%

The country’s inflation rate hit a nine-year high in August, spiking by 6.4 percent year-on-year and registering higher annual inflation across a majority of regions, according to data from the
