∘ The applicant and his/her parents must have foreign citizenships.
∘ Applicants who hold Korean citizenship are not permitted to apply for this program.
∘ Applicants should be in good health, both mentally and physically, to stay in Korea for an extended period of time.*Applicants must submit the Personal Medical Assessment (included in the application form)
∘ Applicants must be under 40 years of age as of Sep. 1st, 2016 (born after Sep.
1st, 1976).
∘ Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree as of September 1st, 2016.
- (Important) Applicants who have ever graduated in a university in Korea will be disqualified from applying to the KGSP program.(Those who studied in Exchange students can apply but there is a limitation)
∘ Applicants who are expected to graduate from their respective home undergraduate/graduate institutions by August 31st, 2016, should submit the certificate (or letter) of expected graduation issued by said institutions when hey apply; the official certificate of graduation should be received by NIIED by August 31st, 2016.
∘ Applicants must maintain a grade point average (G.P.A.) of at least 2.64 on a 4.0 scale, 2.80 on a 4. 3 scale, 2.91 on a 4.5 scale, or grades/marks/score of 80% or higher from the previously attended institution.
∘ Certificate of TOPIK of English Proficiency Score(TOEFL, TOECI, IELTS) is required for whom have it.

4. Why Ajou?
∘Selection for successful candidates will be done strictly by the NIIED Selection Committee.
∘Required documents should be submitted until March 14th by post or by person.
(not by email)
∘Dual applications are not accepted. Applicants must apply for this program via only one institution.
∘Documents should be presented in their original form.
∘In case of submitting photocopied documents, applicants must submit the original to the 1st Selection Institution and have the original one and the photocopied one collated. The confirmation of collation should be indicated in the photocopied documents.
∘Submitted documents will not be returned to the applicants.
∘Incomplete or incorrect documents may lead to application rejection or failure in the Selection Committee, and scholarship revocation even after entry into Korea.
∘Applicants who are expected to graduate from their respective home undergraduate/graduate institutions by August 31st, 2016, should submit the certificate (or letter) of expected graduation issued by said institutions when hey apply; the official certificate of graduation should be received by NIIED by August 31st, 2016.
∘Applicants must accurately complete the health checklist truthfully. All successful candidates must take a comprehensive medical exam when its’
orientation. In accordance with the requirements of the Korea Immigration Service and the KGSP Program, the candidates who are judged to be physically unfit for this program will not be accepted.
∘Transferring to a different university after confirming the host university is not permitted in any cases. In regards to changing majors, it would be permitted only under the mutual agreement of the departments concerned only within the same university, with the scholarship period unchanged. (2 years of Master’s, or 3 years of doctoral, in total). However, quitting a program and applying for a new one is not permitted.
∘All applicants must attend the interview on the designated day.
∘The applicant's English name and date of birth must match the information on his/her passport.

Ⅲ. Campus Guide & Important Notes 1. BUFS Dormitory
BUFS dormitory creates a comfortable academic atmosphere as well as
a relaxing place to rest. We provide you the best place to make you
feel at home. The on campus dormitory consists of three buildings
and one building for the off campus dormitory which can
accommodate approximately 1,620 students in total.

1) Buildings(capacity) : 1 building for boys (454 students), 2 buildings for girls (862 students)
2) Security : The dormitory is operated by a card system in order to use the elevator, entrance doorway, and stairs. We provide state of the art CCTV as well as a security officer on duty for 24hours a day.

Chonbuk National University is a global prestigious university that has contributed enormously to the development of region and the country.
It is the first national university in South-western region established in 1947. Its main campus is located in the most Korean city Jeonju with 1500 years of rich history.

CNU International Peer Support aims to enhance academic achievement and adaptation to university life for incoming undergraduate international student by Korean partner students including the following Activities:

A. Applicants and their parents must be citizens of a country other than Korea.
※Applicants who have a dual nationality including Korean can not apply.
B. Applicants must be healthy enough so that they can sustainedly study in Korea.
※Applicants must submit the Personal Medical Assessment when applying.
C. Applicants must be under the age of 40 as of September 1, 2016.
(Birth date after September 1, 1976)
D. Applicants must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree or be graduate-to-be as of August 31, 2016.
※Applicants who grduated from Korean universities(college, undergraduate shool, graduated shool, etc) are not eligible to apply.
E. Applicants' grade point average(GPA) must be higher than 80 percent out of 100.
F. Applicants who have Korean language score(TOPIK, KLPT) or English score(TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS).
3. Application Procedure
- Admission decisions are based on the candidate's academic achievements and potential, as well as his/her personal accomplishments. The admissions committee reviews a number of factors including records of past studies (such as GPA), study plan, language proficiency and letters of recommendation.
- If the applicant is applying to Division of Arts and physical Education, Education-related majors, the applicant may have other procedure such as telephone interview, written test or practical test.

Ⅲ. Campus Guide & Important Notes 1. Dormitory
A. For a comfortable and convenient campus life, Chosun University offers Green village for foreign studnets.

C. Facilities: a single bed (with drawers) with sheets, a desk with a book-shelf, a chair, a closet(mirror and shoe-rack attached), LAN cable, a telephone, vertical curtain, and air conditioner, cooking facility D. Students shall prepare a blanket, a pillow, a bed pad, a cloth hanger,
soaps and a toothbrush, etc.
E. Convenient Facilities: Internet room, library, gym, laundry room, common room, shower room, school store etc.

2. Tutoring Program
- For international students to easily adapt to their new life at Chosun University and in Korea, we support them through a tutoring program, which matches international students with Korean students from the undergraduate school.
3. Korean Cultural Travel
- CU offers special cultural trips per year to international students to help adapt to and understand Korean culture. International students at Chosun University often participate in these trips as they offer a great chance to view the beautiful scenery of Korea to build relationships

In newly opened on-campus dormitory, both Korean and international students live in the dorm with the most modern facilities. The Monthly rent is around $250(USD) for a room with four beds and $350(USD) for a room with two beds. One can enjoy new gym facilities, seminar rooms and international menu in CAU’s on-campus dormitory.
