Press Release

The Government of Nepal deplores the conduct of the hydrogen bomb test as announced by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea yesterday.

Nepal views that such an act would be detrimental to the international nuclear non-proliferation efforts as well as the peace, unity and stability on the Korean peninsula.

Nepal upholds a consistent policy of general and complete disarmament of all weapons of mass destruction and is against the conduct of any nuclear test.

Nepal believes in settling all international disputes by peaceful means in line with the Charter of the United Nations and the Principles of International Law.
