• Receives, inspects, verifies and log-in samples for analysis in accordance with laboratory work instructions and procedures.
• Guided by Routine Sample Prioritization and Test Requirements and testing procedures, conducts laboratory tests on samples received in accordance to standard methods of analysis (ASTM,UOP,IP and other acceptable procedures).
• Performs routine testing on petroleum products and byproducts such as crude, naphtha, diesel, xylene, motor gasoline, kerosene and jet fuel and liquefied petroleum gas.
• Reports immediately off specification or off target results to the concerned refinery personnel.
• Prepares, signs and issues Product Quality Certificates for cargo samples received and tested.
• Performs Basic Equipment Care and calibration of laboratory equipments and apparatus with accordance to UOP and ASTM guidelines.
• Prepares shift report highlighting critical product qualities and activities done in the shift that needs follow-up and immediate action.
• Conducts field tests as maybe necessary and requested.
• Prepares and standardizes reagent and standard solutions.
• Primary fire truck driver responsible for foam generation in-case of fire in the refinery.
