Yangyang Int’l Airport Implements Visa-free Entry for Group Tourists
Yangyang International Airport will implement visa-free entry for group tourists to 3 Asian countries starting from 1 June 2022.
Details
Eligibility: Nationals of 4 Asian countries (Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Mongolia) who ○1 booked a tour program arranged by a designated travel agency, ○2 are fully vaccinated against COVID-19,
○3 and is scheduled to fly in and out of Yangyang airport on the same flight with the tour group consisting of 5 or more people
Allowed Travel Area: Gangwon Province and Seoul Metropolitan Area
Status and Period of Stay: Eligible travelers of this scheme will be given the Tourist/Transit visa (B-2-94), instead of Short Term Visit visa (C-3-2), and will be allowed to stay for 15 days
Implementation Period
- Vietnam, the Philippines, and Indonesia: 1 June 2022 to 31 May 2023 - Mongolia: 1 October 2022 to 31 May 2023
Requirement
1) Comply with quarantine measures such as being fully vaccinated before entering the Republic of Korea
2) Arrive and depart Yangyang airport on the same flight as a group 3) Agree to be accompanied by a local staff and to pay the service fee 4) Agree to provide information necessary for tour group entry such as personal information
※ Administrative Sanctions
When the accumulated number of travelers that do not leave the country account for up to more than 5%, the visa-free entry policy can be suspended for that country
