Invitation for Prequalification
Development of Irrigati on Infrastructure for Agricultural Production for E xport and Agro-Industry
Reference Number: MOFA/MOTI-G IDA/PQW/OS/2014
The Government of the Republic of Ghana through the Ministry of Food and Agriculture in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade and Industries with Funding from the Export Development and Agriculture Investment Fund (EDA IF) aimed at reducing poverty through the development of Irrigation
Infrastructure to support horticultural Industry for domestic and foreign markets.
2. The Ministry of Food and Agriculture, acting through the Ghana Irrigation D velopment Authority intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments under the contracts for the Irrigation Projects.
3. This invitation for prequalification follows the General Procurement Notice that appeared in the dgMarket on line on April 10,2014, local newspapers Daily Graphic and Ghanaian Times.
4. The Ghana Irrigation Development Authority (GIDA) intend to prequalify contractors and lor firms for the development of the under listed Irrigation Infrastructure.

It is expected that invitations to tender will be made in July 2014.
5. Prequalification will be conducted through prequalification procedures specified in the Public Procurement Act, 2003 (Act 663) oftbe Republic of Ghana and is open to all tenderers from Ligible source countries, as determined by the Public Procurement Authority of the Republic of Ghana.
6. Interested eligible tenderers may obtain further information ITom and inspect the prequalification documents at the Ghana irrigation Development Authority Head Office, Accra (address below) from 8:30a.m. to 5:00p.m. during office hours.
7. A complete set of prequalification documents in English may be purchased by interested tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non
refundable fee of GH~450.00 or its equivalent. The method of payment \\-ill be cash or bank draft from a reputable commercial bank acceptable to the Employer.
8. Applications for prequalification should be submitted in sealed envelopes_ delivered to the address below by June 24, 2014 at 17:00 houn (GMT local time) and be clearly marked "Application to Prel/lta/if)'" - and clearly identify which Projt:cUScheme the Application enclosed is for.
Application received after this time and date shall not be considered and shall be returned unopened.
