Key results expected:
Working with the Senior M&E information manager to keep data systems well-functioning and up to date;
Data analysis to inform decision making and program design;
Answering in a timely fashion to data requests.
Main duties/ Responsibilities:
Data management:
o Train users on Business Intelligence tools and Country Program Online Platform;
o Work with different departments to strengthen data governance, including quality and timeliness of reported data;
o Serve as the focal point for questions from super users regarding data and related reporting tools;
o Manage data collection and management processes for the data warehouse;
o Manage updates to data and reporting systems, including the dashboard, the results section of the web site, GAVI reports to the International Aid Transparency Initiative;
o Maintain current and accurate data dictionary.
Data analysis:
o Train users to conduct data analysis themselves using the data warehouse and related analysis and reporting tools;
o Conduct analysis of health and financial data;
o Generate reports using data from the data warehouse.

Academic:
University Degree / Diploma in Public Health or equivalent, with formal training in epidemiology and/or statistics;
Formal training in information technology an advantage.
Work experience:
Minimum 5 years of work experience in a similar position;
Experience with public health statistics;
Experience with enterprise data systems.
Skills/competencies:
Sound understanding of the principles, standard indicators and data sources associated with demographic and health data;
Strong data analysis skills, including use of STATA and MS Excel;
Data management skills;
Ability to extract from quantitative and qualitative data information to guide managers’ decision making;
Knowledge of SQL language;
Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality, accurate work within tight deadlines;
Good knowledge of institutional or organization policies, systems and procedures;
Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment;
Tact and discretion;
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from a wide range of disciplines and backgrounds.
Languages:
Written and spoken fluency in English;
Good knowledge of French is a plus.
