(1) 2015 미국농업응용경제학회(AAEA) 참석
○ 일 시: 2015. 7. 26(일) ∼ 7. 30(목)
○ 장 소: 샌프란시스코 San Francisco Marriott Marquis 호텔
○ 농업경제의 최대 학술단체인 AAEA(Agricultural & Applied Economics Association)에서 개최하는 AAEA Annual Meeting에 참석 및 발표
- 학회 포스터 발표: “Effects of Typical Assumptions on the Measurement of the Upstream Transmission of Checkoff Program Benefits” (이상현 부연구위원)
○ 미국 농업 및 응용경제학회(AAEA)의 주요 행사는 Plenary Sessions, Speaker Series Events, Beltway Track Session, Reunions & Receptions, Posters, and Concurrent Sessions 등으로 구성되어 다양한 활동들이 진행되었음.
○ Plenary Sessions에서 기조연설자로 노스캐롤라이나 주립대의 David Dickey 교수 가 “Greatest Hits of Unit Roots"를 주제로 발표를 하였으며, 워싱턴 주립대의 Jill McCluskey 교수가 “Diversify or Die: How Increasing Diversity of People and Ideas Can Make Us More Competitive”, 같은 대학의 Terry McElwain 교수가
“Global Health: The Role of Food and Agriculture”, University of California, Davis의 Daniel Sumner 교수가 “The Economic Consequences of Food Non-Sense”를 주제로 연설을 하는 등 여러 기조연설자들의 발표가 있었음.
○ Speaker Series Events에서는 스탠포드 대학의 David Lobell 교수의 “Rethinking Climate Adaptation” 등의 발표가 있었음.
○ AAEA Section Events & Activities는 주제·부문별로 나뉘어져 학회기간 동안 동시 진행되었으며, 각 Section별 Business Meeting과 selected & invited paper의 발표 가 이루어짐.
○ 학회 양일간 진행된 Concurrent Sessions에서는 184개 주제에 대해서 여러 논문의 발표와 토론이 있었음.
○ 연구원 이상현 박사의 “Effects of Typical Assumptions on the Measurement of the Upstream Transmission of Checkoff Program Benefits”를 포함하여 227개 주 제의 Posters 발표가 있었음.
