If the applicant is in a shelter because of abuse, the applicant may display the address of a relative or friend or post office box number on the card, but must provide the applicant’s principal address for file purposes
P.O. Box numbers are not acceptable unless a number and street name has not been assigned for United States mail delivery, an address convention used by the United States Postal Service is acceptable
Affidavit indicating that the applicant currently resides with the affiant, provided the affiant’s address can be verified and the affidavit is notarized within two (2) months of the application date
Other documents the examiner of drivers accepts as proof of principal address in the State of Hawaii
The Limited Purpose Driver’s License is only issued as a license to drive a motor vehicle. The Limited Purpose Driver’s License is not acceptable for official federal purposes and it does not establish eligibility for employment, voter registration or public benefits.
The Limited Purpose Driver’s License is not a Real ID compliant credential. Therefore, they will not be solely accepted by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to board commercial aircraft and enter federal facilities. Additional
screening/documents may be required.
The Limited Purpose Driver’s License is:
valid for eight (8) years for licensees who are twenty-five (25) through seventy-one (71) years of age;
valid for four (4) years for licensees who are twenty-four (24) years of age or younger; and
valid for two (2) years for licensees who are seventy-two (72) years of age or older.
Will I be able to legally drive in another State with a Hawaii Limited Purpose Driver’s License? Holders of the Hawaii Limited Purpose Driver’s License should check with the Driver Licensing Agency in the state you plan to drive in.

폭력으로 인해 보호소에서 거주중인 신청자는 면허증 기입용으로 친지나 친구의 주소, 또는 P.O. Box 번호를 제출할 수 있지만 기록을 위해 실제 거주지도 기입해야 함.
P.O. Box 번호로 기재된 주소는 미국 우편배송을 위해 도로명과 번지가 할당되지 않은 경우를 제외하고는 허용되지 않음. 미국우체국에서 정해준 주소는(address convention) 수용됨.
같은 주소에서 거주하는 동거인의 진술서 – 진술인의 주소가 입증되고 진술서가 교환신청일로부터
2 개월 내에 공증되어야 함.
기타 면허시험관이 하와이주 거주를 증명한다고 인정하는 서류
제한된 목적의 운전면허증은 자동차 운전만을 위한 면허입니다. 제한된 목적의 운전면허증은 기타 공적인 용도로 인정되지 않으며, 고용, 유권자등록, 공공혜택 수혜 등에 사용 될 수 없습니다.
제한된 목적의 운전면허증은 실제신분(Real ID) 요건에 부합하지 않습니다. 그러므로 동 면허증만으로는 항공기에 탑승하거나 연방시설에 출입할 수 없으며 교통안전국(TSA)에 의해 인정되지 않을 것입니다. 추가 검사나 문서가 요구될 수 있습니다.
제한된 목적의 운전면허증은
25 세 이상 71 세 미만에게는 8 년짜리로 발급
24 세 이하에게는 4 년짜리로 발급
72 세이상에게는 2 년짜리로 발급됩니다.
