NOTICE FOR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES OF THE 2
ndROUND (Embassy Track)
Dear Successful Candidates of the 2019 GKS-Undergraduate Degree,
Huge congratulations to you all for making it to the final round of the 2019 GKS for Undergraduate Degree!
We ask all the successful candidates of the 2nd round whose names are included in the attached result to carefully read the followings and take appropriate measures in order to be considered for university admissions reviews.
A. Submission of Supplementary Documents
Those who have items listed under the “Required Documents” must submit the requested documents to NIIED no later than November 30, 2018.
These documents must be either original or certified copies.
In case you are unable to submit an original document, please submit a certified copy of the original. Either notarized or apostilled documents will be accepted as certified copies. If your original document is not in English or Korean, you should submit certified translation of the document.
All documents must be mailed to the following address:

Note that email submissions of these documents will not be accepted.
B. Submission of Health Certificate
All candidates whose names are listed in the 2nd round result must submit a Certificate of Health form and the laboratory evidence issued from the hospital or medical clinic.
Form “Certificate of Health” is available as an attachment to this announcement.
The Certificate of Health must be completed and signed by a licensed physician or a doctor with a MD degree.
The laboratory results must include all the examinations listed in section “4. Laboratory Examination”.
How to submit
- Email the scanned files of a completed Certificate of Health and all laboratory results to kgspniied@korea.kr
- The scanned files must be compiled into ONE SINGLE PDF FILE, named in the following format:
2019-GKS-U-Health-EMB-[Country]-[Last Name]. For example, a candidate named Sujin Park from Korea must save the file as 2019-GKS-U-Health-EMB-Korea-Park.
- Please limit the size of the file less than 5 MB.
- Attention!!! The subject line of your email should be same as the name of the each file.
- Attention!!! In the subject line of your email, please do not include the following words:
document, submission, or confirmation. Any emails including any of those words in the subject line will automatically be filtered.
Submission Deadline: Wednesday, December 5, 2018
C. Submission of Passport Copy
All candidates whose names are listed in the 2nd round result must submit a copy of a valid passport. If you do not have a passport yet, please apply for one as soon as possible.
Those who have already submitted a passport copy at the time of applying do not have to submit it again.
Please submit the photo page of your passport. Do not submit all pages of your passport.
How to submit
- Email the scanned copy of your passport to kgspniied@korea.kr
- The file must be an image file, in either one of the following two formats: .jpg or .png.
- The file must be named in the following format: 2019-GKS-U-PT-EMB-[Country]-[Last Name].
For example, a candidate named Sujin Park from Korea must save the file as 2019-GKS-U-PT- EMB-Korea-Park.
- Please limit the size of the file less than 1 MB.
- Attention!!! In the subject line of your email, please do not include the following words:
document, submission, or confirmation. Any emails including any of those words in the subject line will automatically be filtered.
Submission Deadline: Wednesday, December 5, 2018
D. Third Round of Review: University Admissions
The photocopied application sets of those who pass the 2nd round will now be forwarded to each university for admission reviews.
Each university will conduct the final round of review from late November to late December.
During this period, all candidates are advised to check emails frequently and to make yourselves available to answer the phone calls from the universities.
In case the university requests additional document, you must submit them directly to the university.
Each university will contact individual candidates for the admissions results around December 20.
- Once you receive the results from all three universities, you must make your final choice on university.
- You must notify NIIED about your final choice no later than Thursday, December 27, 2018 by submitting the Form “2019-GKS-U-University Choice-EMB” to kgspniied@korea.kr.
- The file must be named in the following format: 2019-GKS-U-University Choice-EMB- [Country]-[Last Name]. For example, a candidate named Sujin Park from Korea must save the file as 2019-GKS-U-University Choice-EMB-Korea-Park.
- Form “2019 GKS-U-University Choice” is available as an attachment to this announcement.
- You must also notify the universities about your final choice.
