￭ 표준점수 : 원점수 (정답한 문항에 부여된 배점을 합한 점수)의 분포를 영역 또는 선택과목별로 정해진 평균과 표준편차를 갖도록 변환한 분포상에서 어느 위치에 해당하는가 를 나타낸 점수.
- 언어, 수리, 외국어(영어) 영역의 표준점수는 평균 100, 표준편차 20 으로 함.
- 사회/과학/직업탐구 영역과 제 2 외국어/한문 영역의 표준점수는 과목당 평균 50, 표준편차 10 으로 함
표준점수=
20(또는 10) × 수험생의 원점수-수험생이 속한 집단의 원점수 평균 + 100(또는 50) 수험생이 속한 집단의 원점수 표준편차
수리 '가'형의 표준점수는 선택 과목간 난이도와 응시집단간의 능력의 차이를 조정하여 표준화한 점수임.
표준점수는 소수 첫째자리에서 반올림한 정수로 표기함.
￭ 백분위: 수험생이 받은 표준점수보다 낮은 표준점수를 받은 수험생의 백분율(동점자가 있는경우 동점자 수의 반이 포함됨)

￭ 등급: 정수로 표기된 표준점수의 분포를 9 구간으로 나누어 결정함.
- 등급 구분 점수에 놓여 있는 동점자에게는 해당되는 등급 중 상위등급을 부여함.
★ 성적통비표의 점수 표기란에는 미선택한 경우는 ‘-’로, 응시선택 후 결시한 경우는 ‘*’로 표기 됨

Standard Score: It means a converted score to show how much the Original Score (the total
of points given to each exam question) of an examinee deviates from the average of each subject and where his/her score is positioned in the distribution belt converted to contain Standard Deviation.- In the fields of Language, Math, and Foreign Language (English), the Standard Score of each subject is Average100 and Standard Deviation 20.
- In the fields of Social Studies, Science, Vocational Education, and 2nd Foreign Language/Chinese Classics, the Standard Score of each subject is Average 50 and Standard Deviation 10.

In the Math A Type, the Standard Score means the score reflecting the difference of item difficulty between subjects and capability difference between individuals. The Standard Score is expressed in a whole number rounded up at the first digit after a decimal point.
￭ Percentile rank: This number shows the percentage of the examinees who have acquired lower Standard Scores than a particular examinee (In case there are many students with same scores, half of the them are included in the calculation)

- Scores on the borders of distribution belts are given the upper belt.
