Announcement on Jeju Visa-free Entry
The visa-free entry policy to Jeju(Island) which has been suspended since 4 February 2020, to prevent the inflow of COVID19, will resume starting 1 June, 2022.
1. Eligibility: Nationals from all countries except for the 23 countries designated by the Minister of Justice
*(23 countries) Iran, Sudan, Syria, Cuba, Kosovo, Palestine, Afghanistan, Iraq, Ghana, Nigeria, Yemen, Egypt, Gambia, Senegal, Bangladesh, Kyrgyz, Pakistan, Somalia, Uzbekistan, Nepal, Cameroon, Sri Lanka, Myanmar
9 countries/regions which suspended visa-free entry under reciprocity will be temporarily excluded until further notice. (visa will be required for entry)
Japan, Macao, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Micronesia, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Kiribati, Tonga
2. Nationals Eligible for Extension of Sojourn Area Permission
The following passport holders are required to obtain permission for extension of sojourn area from the Head of the Jeju Immigration Office when intending to move to another area in the Republic of Korea after entering Jeju without a visa.
○1 Diplomatic, Official, and Ordinary Passports (35 countries)
- Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Namibia, Niger, East Timor, Libya, Rwanda, Malawi, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Maldives, Burundi, Burkina Faso, Bhutan, North Macedonia, Sao Tome and Principe, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Uganda, Zambia, Equatorial Guinea, Central African Republic, Djibouti, Zimbabwe, Chad, Cape Verde, Kenya, Comoros, Cote d’Ivoire, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Togo, Papua New Guinea
○2 Official and Ordinary Passports (1 country) - Jordan
○3 Ordinary Passports (28 countries)
