The forum envisions ‘New Asia for the greater good’, and the word ‘good’ refers to Bentham’s ‘good’ from his phrase “the greatest good for the greatest number”.
The forum came up with SOARING ASEAN with Korea as its slogan, with SOARING standing for Sustainable growth, Opportunities for the majority, ARtistic value, INtegrated economy and Global efforts.
As SOARING represents, Korea and ASEAN will pursue broader economic cooperation for the benefit of more people in extended areas including cultural exchange.
