The purpose of this study is to develop visual aids for the electric current and the magnetic field and to apply them to science classes for elementary science-gifted children to explain easily the concepts of both an alternating current and a magnetic field. The visual aid for the electric current and the magnetic field consists of two light-emitting diodes connected to each other in reverse direction, a solenoid, and compasses located around the solenoid. An alternating current generator, which can generate an alternating current manually, was manufactured and used as an alternating current source. The apparatus was shown to be very helpful for elementary science-gifted children to understand the concepts of both an alternating current and a magnetic field.
