【1-2】대화를 듣고, 여자의 마지막 말에 대한 남자의 응답으로 가장 적절한 것을 고르 시오.

1번

W: Wow, this art museum is really big. It’s impossible to see all the exhibits in one hour.

M: Yeah, it really is huge. Why don’t we go to the Impressionist exhibit first? W: Okay. I don’t want to miss it. But on what floor is it located?

M: ____________________________________________________

2번

W: Good afternoon. What can I do for you?

M: I bought this blue shirt for my nephew yesterday, but it’s too small for him. Can I exchange it for a medium?

W: I’m afraid we’re out of mediums in blue. But we have them in black. M: ____________________________________________________

3번 대화를 듣고, 여자의 의견으로 가장 적절한 것을 고르시오. M: Good morning, Susan. You seem full of energy this morning. W: I am. I go swimming in the morning before breakfast these days. M: Aren’t you tired after swimming?

W: For the first month I was. But nowadays I really feel recharged.

M: I heard that exercising in the morning has a higher risk of injuring your muscles and joints, though.

W: That’s true, but not swimming, because it doesn’t strain muscles and joints. M: Okay. I should probably start exercising in the morning, too. What about

weight-lifting?

W: I don’t think that’s a good idea. That’s a very high-impact activity. Low-impact activities like swimming are better early-morning exercises. M: I see. Then what about badminton?

W: Well, playing badminton early in the morning may make you feel tired later in the day.

4번 다음을 듣고, 여자가 하는 말의 목적으로 가장 적절한 것을 고르시오.

W: Good afternoon. This is an announcement from Residence Life to university students living in the dormitory. As most of you already know, our residence hall has been experiencing unexpected power outages this afternoon, and we’re afraid that this situation might continue through this evening. So, in case we experience a power outage this evening and you need a flashlight, please visit our office. We have a supply of flashlights for you. Please be aware that candles are prohibited in the residences for fire safety reasons, so a flashlight is the best and safest source of light. As soon as the power outage problem is resolved, we’ll let you know. Thank you for your understanding.

5번 대화를 듣고, 두 사람이 하는 말의 주제로 가장 적절한 것을 고르시오. W: Minho, where are you going?

M: I’m going to the community center to do my volunteer work. W: What type of volunteer work do you do there?

M: Umm, I provide food to stray cats.

W: Stray cats? Not for people, like homeless people?

M: No. The community center made food boxes just for stray cats. W: Really?

M: Yeah. Actually, a lot of hungry stray cats in residential areas have been digging through the residents’ garbage bags.

W: That must create a huge mess.

M: Exactly. Some residents complained to the community center about the problem. That’s why the center came up with this idea.

W: It’s a good idea. Stray cats won’t be looking for food in the garbage bags anymore.

【6-7】다음을 듣고, 물음에 답하시오.

M: Good morning, class. Today we’ll talk about lizards. Lizards are tremendously diverse animals with countless distinctive characteristics. Can you believe there are 4,675 species of lizard? And they live all over the world, from the edges of the Arctic Circle, to the deserts, and the tropical forests. One species, the marine iguana, even lives in the ocean and feeds on seaweed and algae.

Now, let me discuss the remarkable traits of some lizard species. First, some basilisks can run across the water surface. Chameleons can move each eye independently. A subspecies called the Madagascan chameleon have tongues that, when extended, are longer than the length of their bodies. Some horned lizards can shoot blood from the corner of their eyes as a defensive mechanism when they’re attacked. Finally, some lizards have wing-like structures on the sides of their bodies and can glide through the air for over 30 meters.

M: I really admire your hard work, Ms. Brown. W: Thank you. So what can I help you with?

M: Actually, I came here to ask you a question about your lecture. W: Okay. What’s your question?

M: I’d like to know about the specific historical context of the Mesopotamian period.

W: That’s a good question, and I’d like to give you a detailed explanation. But I have a class in a few minutes. Can you stop by my office at three? M: Yes, I can. Thank you very much, Ms. Brown.

two standing speakers. Most guest houses have only small televisions. W: Great. Does this room have an air-conditioner?

M: Yes, it does. It’s on the wall above the television.

W: Okay. I’m glad there’s a lamp on the desk. I usually read before going to bed.

W: Exactly. The file is on my laptop computer, which is locked up in the cabinet above my desk.

M: Okay. Where is the key to the cabinet?

W: Oh, no! It’s in my pocket. I forgot to leave it in my desk drawer.

M: Umm... I still have the paper copies that you gave me earlier today. I can scan and email them to you.

M: Okay. Are there any students in our class who can play the piano? W: Yes. Lora has been playing the piano for years.

M: Perfect. I’m sure she’d gladly like to play the piano for us.

W: Definitely. But I think our song will sound better if we have a violinist. Do you know anyone in our class who can play the violin?

W: I’m actually calling to invite you to a ceremony this Friday night. We’re going to present Justin with his award at the ceremony.

worldwide for its unintended tilt to one side. Before starting our tour of the tower, I’ll give you some background information. This tower has seven bells in total. The height of the tower is 56.67 meters from the ground. The thickness of the walls at the base is 2.44 meters. And, it has 296 steps. Prior to the restoration work performed from 1990 to 2001, the tower leaned at an angle of 5.5 degrees, but the tower now leans at an angle of about 3.99 degrees. Okay, everybody. W: Yeah, but the sale ends this Sunday. M: I see. I’ll buy two mugs.

W: Okay. Is there anything else I can help you find?

M: Well... I’m also looking for a gift for my mom’s birthday. I saw those antique vases over there. How much is the blue one?

M: Anna, the city library will finally reopen in September.

W: I heard about that. Some of the library policies will be changed, too. M: Right, there’s going to be an online booking system for reading room

seats.

W: That’ll be more convenient. The best policy change is that we’ll be able to check out more books.

M: Really? Seven is the maximum now, right?

W: Yes, but from September 1, for high school students like us, it’ll be ten books per person and the check out period will also be extended by five days.

M: Wow! So we’ll be able to have books for up to fifteen days. Ten days isn’t long enough!

W: For sure. And university students will be able to check out up to twenty books per person.

M: And how long will they be able to keep the books for? W: Thirty days.

W: I’m thinking about either biology or chemistry.

M: Good. Now you have to think about what level to take. You took basic chemistry last semester, didn’t you?

W: Yeah. I’ve already completed basic chemistry and biology. So I need to take the next level.

M: All right. Then you’re left with these two choices. Oh, Lucy, remember you have piano lessons on Mondays?

W: But I have the lessons at seven p.m.

M: Then either of these would work for you. What time do you prefer, morning or afternoon?

W: Well, I’d like to have more free time in the afternoon, so I prefer the morning class.

M: Then this one looks good for you.

W: That’s too bad. Have you been playing a lot of tennis or badminton? M: No, I haven’t. My only exercise is jogging.

W: Hmm... then I wonder why your shoulder is hurting. Have you seen a doctor?

M: Yes, yesterday. He said it’s pretty bad and I need physical therapy for several days.

W: I’m sorry to hear that.

M: He also told me to stop using my smartphone so much. W: What do you mean?
